What's new

who started Arms Race in Asia!!!!!

:coffee:OK, Let's start arms Race. Most China weapons are made in China, we can solve the unemployment problem and stimulate economic development.

ahhhhh......... our soviet mates did the same .............result was out and Pakistan is proud of it

.
well again Chinese and Pakistanis are putting all blame on india....:hitwall:

even chinese don't hv (ever had )serious threats(like regional disputes, terrorism)
their arm race is justified but india don't have right to ensure his security even they have serious threats from their neighbors.
(despite of 3 wars with pak. and one with Chinese .):hang2:

[whole world is decreasing their nuke stockpile and u both are increasing ]
:pakistan::china::cry:
Don't :cry:nuke never use in war but in peaceful time.May war be safer for people to avoid nukes bombing.

:coffee:Not the same as China and the USSR.
We will always maintain military spending accounts for 2~3% GDP. We are less than the USA and Japan and India.

Amazing how China's military deterence against US intervention in western pacific and Taiwan independence becomes threat to India and arms race in Asia. May be they want China to continue using J-7, T-59 tanks and keep her obsolete navy boats forever, and US keep flying their their U-2 over Chinese air space.

.
china was threaten with nuclear destruction by both of the worlds superpowers, just sayin.

On the side note,it is believed that during Korean war when Truman threatened to use nukes against China, The Indian Govt thought of going for nuclear weapons program.

so you say china is no threat to india,is there no interference of china in arunachal pradesh, isnt it going to helping pakistan with nuclear reactor, should india rely on its mig 21 to counter china when china will be having j20 for you the threat is usa for india it is china

and china's 2-3% spent on defence is more than if india is spending 5% of its gdp on defence

. .
There were threats made by China in 1971 during Indo-Pak war.

And even recently after 26/11 a Chinese party official called up Indian ministry and said any military action against Pakistan will result in China annexing South Tibet.

Can I have a source for the 1971. I'm curious. China usually calls for "restraint" in situations like that.

-india and china not nighbours..
-india and china has no regional disputes.
-india and china never fought a single war.
-india has china's strong support against terrorism.(china was the first country who condemned 26/11 even before us,uk,russia france etc.)
-china has bad relations with pak.

.
Sounds like tabloid journalism. Do we have a source for the 26/11?

I couldn't find it as of now ,it was on NDTV according to aide of late Rajiv Ghandi ,who accompanied him on his China visit.

Will try to get it.

. . .
:coffee: About the USA, Arms race has already begun. We will always maintain military spending accounts for 2~3% GDP.
Let's see what happens.

:coffee:
actual % is far more.. china has the record of doing things secretly..
from missile tests to nukes..(even many claims that they had over 400 nukes in 60's , but officially they r showing [210] )
