What rubbish!! Dhoti wearing pandits have been on this planet for thousands of years leading and guiding human lives and spirit, NASA on the other hand a few decades. Humanity did not survive or exist on the hopes of NASA.

What NASA has done and is doing is for a larger cause. The fruits of their efforts would be enjoyed by generation to come. The luxury with which you are watching TV, using internet or even talking over phone is all thanks to NASA and Soviet space program.

Why to compare with a regressing ideology and feel good about? Religious books were written to calm and civilize uneducated masses who would otherwise have eaten each other alive (although some are still doing it). They in no way can dictate modern science. I pity on those who base their lifestyle on these religious books.

So those swamis and pandits know more about the universe than the organization that has spent billions of dollars on space equipment and has sent then outside our solar system to bring clearer and better information while also utilizing telescopes and super computers that can see outside our galaxy.

Jokes aside, many Indians think like him. They just don't say it directly like this guy did. I know this from personal experience. That's why you can never take anything an indian says seriously. On topic . Panchang is nothing a small book full of mathematical calculations.I know some people ,non Hindus that also follow these book for certain purpose , some of them even know A to Z of Panchang and astrology .

Your argument fails because Veda does not talk about Cast or untouchability, while Quran clearly has the concept of Jihad.
