Can SOMEBODY here tell me why the tribals in the background do not seem upset about the Al Qaeda commander being there? If you say tribals do not support militants then why is that guy even there?

im not sure with what intentions you post, or what your age is. Again, there have been people from those areas who had or have sympathy to the militants. The militants are even fighting as one big group; there are factions some with differing --sometimes divergent goals and aspirations. There have been TTP commanders and foot soldiers not even belonging to FATA --but from other areas (or countries).

and a picture speaks a thousand words...but dont think that just because people in the picture arent crying or frowning with anger, it means they are sympathetic. Such pictures are usually not taken in the open, but in remote areas sealed off and where the commander is surrounded by armed supporters --most of whom have been brainwashed or paid to support him and stand by his side


most tribals are against the militancy as it has effected their lives the most; definitely more than it has effected keyboard warriors, trolls and aggressors who dont fathom or appreciate the sacrifices they have made to help make Pakistan strong. The attack on the jirga recently as well as attack on civilian targets on Mosques, jirgas, and other gatherings has in some cases been waged by the TTP who are willing to kill scores just to make message to those who are against them.

in tribal culture, you are safer at a jirga than anywhere else in the world....even when enemies come face to face, handshakes; cold drinks and food are present. Matters are discussed. To kill people at a tribal jirga is almost sacreligious, and is bound to infuriate everyone and promise a firm and unforgiving retaliation.

these are simple, God-fearing, patriotic peoples....

Why do I have a feeling that the dude asking all the questions here, is trying to imply that tribal people aren't Pakistanis, and they support Al-Qaeda. I really hope he knows the difference between Al-Qaeda, and Taliban. And how TTP and Afghan Taliban have completely different sets of objectives. I really hope he is sincere in saying he really wants to know!

First, keeping weapons is our hobby - I've 3-pistols, 1-shotgun, 2-AK47 and a Darra made M16, that's in my personal possession and if I take my whole family into consideration then it comes a whole battalion with weapons - enough to wipe out a whole lot city like toronto in no time. Are you getting the grip what I'm saying?

Secondly, how on earth can you tell me by looking at the picture that the guy belongs to Al-Qaida and the person behind is a commander of him?

Thirdly, if you really want to know about the Tribal people, get into any public library in the world and there are thousand of books written on these people which could help you better understand them, but here you are just being paranoid and posting these kiddish comments is a proof.

If I'm not mistaken, afghanistan is only 300 hundred or so years old. Anyways no "history" Pakistan has accomplished much more in 64 years then "6000" year old afghanistan has EVER accomplished. Are you an afghan, cause only those people would believe retarded stuff like this?

the great majority of pakistani pathans are loyal towards pakistan and will always put pakistan before afghanistan - no doubt about that.

Tribal People are those in the Northern regions and those on our western border, bordering Afghanistan. My perspective on them is that they are extremely simple, hardworking and friendly people with a beautiful culture and social values to match. Unfortunately many are ignorant but once normality returns to the region i truly believe these areas will flourish should we have a competant government where education and healthcare is readily available. Pakistan will reap the rewards as there is a great deal of untapped talent in those areas.

Having travelled around Pakistan and coming from a Northern region i was surprised by the humility and kindness of these people despite their hardships although some were Afghans they still had that same tribal culture, were extremely trusthworthy and friendly.

May God bless these people as they are an asset to this country despite all the negative b/s written about them.

Yes, I am completely sincere in my questions. I find it funny how people here reply to me in a hysterical manner yet when I reply back, I am viewed suspiciously, as if I want to cause trouble or something.

I am just someone who is curious of these questions. The only solution to your worries is to calm down and take a deep breath because I am not here to cause trouble and you are only causing yourself stress and paranoia.
