Commander Peshawar Corps, Lt. Gen. Omar Ahmed Bukhari, met with the faculty and cadets at Colonel Sher Khan Cadet College, Swabi. In the meeting, he stressed the importance of technical education, responsible use of social media, and engaged with cadets on issues of security and national development, urging them to play an active role in shaping the future.

Closing ceremony of 28th Annual Conference of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centre (IAPTC) concluded today at the Centre for International Peace and Stability (CIPS), NUST, Islamabad.
The closing ceremony was chaired by Secretary Defence Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali, HI(M), (Retired) in which he expressed gratitude to the IAPTC Secretariat, panelists, participants and CIPS for conducting a productive and successful week-long conference on Adaptive Training Strategies for Peace Operations.
In the concluding session, the delegates were briefed on the outcomes of fruitful discussions, innovative ideas and proposed initiatives that emerged during the conference. Focus remained on innovative training methodologies, enhancing technology integration, empowering women's participation in peacekeeping and the importance of information integrity.
The conference also highlighted the importance of international collaboration in addressing evolving challenges to peacekeeping.
Former President of IAPTC, Brigadier General Joyce (Kenya) formally handed over the presidency to Principal NIPCONS (NUST Institute of Peace & Conflict Studies) Mr. Raja Aftab Khan. At the end, all participants expressed their sincere appreciation for the collaborative spirit that defined the event and showed deepest gratitude to the commitment of Pakistan in continuing efforts for the global peace.

The 28th IAPTC Annual Conference has set a strong foundation for future initiatives, reinforcing Pakistan’s resolve to promote peace, security and stability worldwide.

Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, Chief of the Australian Army, met with General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (#COAS) of #Pakistan, today at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi
During the meeting, both leaders engaged in discussions covering matters of mutual interest, particularly the global and regional security environment. The COAS emphasized Pakistan’s appreciation for its ties with Australia, noting the importance of strong bilateral relations in promoting shared goals of peace and stability. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthen cooperation in defense and security, recognizing the value of continued collaboration for regional and global peace.
Lieutenant General Stuart commended Pakistan’s efforts in countering terrorism and expressed his resolve to deepen bilateral defense and security cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier, upon his arrival at GHQ, the Chief of the Australian Army laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada to honor Pakistan’s martyrs. He was accorded a warm welcome, with a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presenting a guard of honor to him.

PEOPLE'S LIBRATION ARMY GROUND FORCE HQ
BEIJING, CHINA

The Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Avais Dastgir arrived at the PLAGF Headquarters in Beijing and held a meeting with the Commander of the People's Liberation Army Ground Force, General Li Qiaoming.

The two generals discussed the evolving global and regional security situation and followed-up on measures for enhancing bilateral military to military cooperation. The CGS affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to ensuring enhanced security for Chinese nationals working in Pakistan. The PLA Commander assured #China's wholehearted support to #Pakistan.

Both sides reaffirmed their resolve and capability to foil any attempt to sabotage ties through cowardly terrorist attacks, and to make sure the terrorists will pay the price.

Both sides agreed to further enhance mutual cooperation to counter common enemies working against the peace and development of the region.

Other areas of defense cooperation were also deliberated and both sides reviewed the progress of collaboration in areas of military training, equipment and technology. Both sides agreed to further institutionalize mechanisms for mutual sharing of experiences, and enhancing regular command interactions.

A delegation of students and faculty from various educational institutions in Bahawalnagar recently visited the Bahawalnagar Garrison. The visit aimed to foster closer ties between the youth and the Pakistan Army, offering the students an opportunity to learn about military operations, defense strategies, and the role of the armed forces in national security. The event included interactive sessions, a tour of the garrison, and discussions on the significance of discipline, patriotism, and service to the nation. This initiative is part of efforts to inspire and educate future generations about the importance of national defense.

A group of students from Muzaffarabad, representing schools, colleges, and universities in Azad Kashmir, recently spent a day with the Pakistan Army in an educational and interactive event. Hosted by the army, the event allowed students to gain firsthand insight into military training, operational capabilities, and various types of weaponry. Students had the unique opportunity to participate in firing range exercises, enhancing their understanding of defense skills. They expressed gratitude for the experience, commending the Pakistan Army’s role in educating youth on national defense and fostering a sense of patriotism and responsibility among future generations.
