Russians are stupid to prevent the integration of chinese systems on their flankers

Perhaps they fear that after integration the Chinese systems would prove to be better than their own. So they may further lose ground to China in world combat aviation market. They are just protecting their own support industries.

I do have a feeling that they have secretly allowed at least china to use their own avionics on SU35s tho

Guys, i was giving a thought to how T-50 would have been useful for PAF.

Keeping into account, the design is extremely low RCS one and the only flaw it has is the exposed engine body underside which radiates heat so compromising its stealthines.

This discussion is solely for “WHAT-IF” discussion and not that “Pakistan have AZM” “wE maKe jF-35 stAalth” “kia zarurat hai iski jab J-20 le sakte hain”.

Russia is a money bi**h. You show her some money, try to get 24-30 SU-57 and it may even get interested to get on tables wayy more than you since they have lost a lost of cash solely on the program and in dire need of customers.

We should also IGNORE the timely drawbacks of the jet mainly relating to its prospected engine which is not ready yet and thus facing some capability gap against similar in category such as F-22.

However, it is not much behind J-20 as far as avionics are concerned !!!

Russia has a good experience on engines and it will come soon with the new engine, just like China will.

SU-57, apart from all that, is quite cheaper than other 5th Gen fighters and costs around $76mn (unconfirmed).

Russia just sold S-400 to india as well as turkey.

Putin also took erdogan to an air show organized for him of a T-50 performing as well as static display !!!

And who is going to pay for SU57? It's one expensive jet .PAF afford fighter jets which price 30-35 million per unit cost. Not just that Western fighter jets requires a lot of maintenance unlike other Western jets. Plus PAF has a zero experience in Russian fighter jets so there will be a learning curve in every aspect .

It would cost a lot of time and money.

PLAAF can't do that, but maybe PAF can try...

I know but I feel these ACs in PLAAF are more of "Tech demonstrators" than actual platforms. This is my impression so feel free to negate but 24 fighters for PLAAF just does not make any sense. For PAF it would only have made sense with the above conditions but the russians said no out right.

Its about money. The armamrnts and radar means loss of revenues. Plus if you can change the FCR and other software then this leaves a bad impression on outsiders about their hardware. I love the SU35 and I think in PAF with the proposed changes it would simply rock and cause quite a few dhotis to get permanently stained yellow.

Why do you think that is? Due to Thunders in numbers or due to AZM being just half decade away ? Or both ?

Sir Khafee did mention our intentions for J-15 land optimized version but no news on it yet !!!

Compared with Su-35 equipped with Chinese avionics, J-11D would be a better choice for PLAAF.
But China chooses to focus on 5th-generation fighters already.
