Both are strike fighters, primarily built for attack, with secondary air to air capability for limited self defense. Both are about Mach 1.6 to Mach 1.8. Both got TVC deleted. As such, they make good counterparts. Su-34 first flight 1990, entered service in 2014. F-35 first flight 2006. Entered service in 2015.

Anyway Su-34 can carry R-77 too. You are wrong when you said Su-34 can only carry SRAAM.

very rarely not intended for air superiority mission relying only on SRAAM and ECM/Jamming etc etc but i admit its capable of carrying BVR @undertakerwwefan

to my limited knowledge , For the looks and Agility i say Su-35 but for Advance systems and Stealth F-35 .

if F-35 want to match SU-35 payload it must use external hard point and then it's not stealthy at all.
also if f-35 want to engage Su35 even if it detect it 200km sooner it don't have the necsary weapon to do it at that range and only can do it at the range that the su-35 can engage it (Don't forget AIM-120 on F-35 have a lot less range than what it can have on F-22 or F-15 as i'ts slower and also fly lower)
it has only 2 internal bay , you must decide which one you want to put there , AIM-9X that give you edge in dogfight or AIM-120 that give you range but not that much as you don't have speed and altitude to use its maximum capacity .

in short best option if a group of 3 F-35 face A group of 3 SU-35 have is to contact the base and ask them to send a group of F-22 or F-15 to deal with those Su-35 and use their stealthiness to avoid those Su-35 and continue the original mission.

AIM-120D AMRAAM have target engagement range of 200 KM, and it is suitable for engaging a target in both BVR and WVR situations. And it is MACH 4+ in speed.

Not sure from where you got the impression that munitions suffer degradation in their engagement capacity on F-35; absolutely illogical assertion. Avionics architecture of F-35 is designed to maximize engagement performance as in extract the most out of munitions.

To be the best strike fighter you must prove that you can take out GROUND TARGETS better than competition.
This means capabilities to identify the target and to hit it.
The F-35 sensors and guided weapons leaves every Suchoi in the dust.

The real winner might be an F-15 though.
