I just completed reading judgment of Advocate Ijaz Afzal..and to say the least, I am extremely shocked at his verdict.. It appears..as if his only motive in his verdict to try to use as many technicalities and loopholes in the law, in Nawaz Sharif's favor... He gives weird logics and explainations....to try to prove..as if nawaz sharif has done nothing unusual.. He says nothing abt the fact tht even after repeated questioning, nawaz sharif and his family was unable to provide money trail or was unable to provide any explanations for their contradictory statements... He doesnt even outrightly reject qatari letter.. All he says tht....its yet to be proven tht qatari letter is a myth or reality.. Thts all he said regd it... Wow.. He still doesnt term the qatari letter as fake or bogus....While qatari letter itself is based on hearsay, he doesnt feel the need to atleast outrightly reject even qatari letter..
All he says..tht everything is disputed..even their own statements (?) ..so lets forward it to JIT, full of members appointed by govt
On one hand ..i was surprised while reading Justice Khosa's judgment..tht how harsh he ahs been against sharif family..and he tries to use anything possible legally, against sharif family's lies...it seems Advocate tries to use everything...and all technicalities in favor of Nawaz Sharif.. He has been extremely sympathetic to sharif family......tht it creates doubts and suspicions in the mind of reader..
Nawaz Sharif couldnt have got a more lenient judgment than Advocate's .... What an apt title we really gave him.. "ADVOCATE" .... In all his judgment..he literally has acted as Nawaz Sharif's defense lawyer.. Infact i think he fought sharif family's case better..in his verdict....than any of their defense laywers...
