What's new

Pakistani MRE and other Field Rations.

. .
MREs are usually used when in combat for many days far away from main deployment area(special ops or forward parties). Usually in deployment langar(now called Soldiers mess) cooks fresh food. In heat of conventional war it comes in handy.

There are many small things that count in todays warfare e.g during Tirah op in forward areas our troops were more disturbed by Flea infestation (pisu) than the miscreants. From soldiers to Officers had the 'Pisu Dance' There were no proper emolients or insect repellents sent or used. Imagine being in a constant itch and fighting as well.

.
My latest fetish is watching videos of unboxing and review of MREs from all over the world. Wish someone did one Indian and Pakistan MREs.

.
Does anyone has new pictures of Nowshera's new MRE cooking facilities & machinery?

If you cant post in the forum then you can send to my email.

My father ate canned ration in siachen along with mutton e.t.c whenever field ration was available. Whole sheep flocks were procured at a time to cater to unit's needs. Yak meat was also eaten on special occasions in base HQ e.t.c.

Preference is always to serve meal via field kitchens wherever possible. Field kitchen kit is manufactured by an entity under nescom.
