yea i know but it'll be a win win for both of us we'll help qatari's bombing yemenis without defaming PAK's name and this is what they wantwow.. what a nonsense comment is this..
Our pilots are already flying jets in ME with most advanced jets in the world with advanced weapons..
if they order F-17 today their delivery date would be in 2018-19. and setting ups and training will also take a year to learn the machine very well. so Qatari Airforce will master the F-17 in 2020 means 4 year from now and nobody knows what will happen in those 4 years...yea i know but it'll be a win win for both of us we'll help qatari's bombing yemenis without defaming PAK's name and this is what they want
PLUS we'll get good order of JF in ME meaning more countries in ME will buy this jet secondly our pilots could get more expierence and test each and everything this jet could do in different scenarios with diff avionics and weaponry ... thirdly world would know what this jet could do with western equipments on this jets meaning more countries out of ME who cannot buy expensive jets from EU US and Russia would want this (again more orders).... fourthly we'll get all this without defamming PAK's name i dont think its a bad plan though
Our Arab friends on their forums do not seem to be very keen on this deal.
One of the comments described JF-17 as "A trainer with a flawed Russian engine."
Inko blk 3 (4.5 Gen) thuk laga kai baichna chahiay. Those are arabs for you. Proud despite begging Pakistan to save their as$.
Forget the internet warriors, speak to their defence representatives in Islamabad to get the real picture. Our Arab friends on their forums do not seem to be very keen on this deal.

Oh they will, They must.Forget the internet warriors, speak to their defence representatives in Islamabad to get the real picture.
Gradually, the Arabs are coming to their senses.
What are you referring too? Thunder programme ?I just hope that we do too.
JF-17 program, economy and foreign policy. What are you referring too? Thunder programme ?
It would be a good idea but in practise the mirage 2000 needs spare's and the mirage III/Vs are generations apart from M2000. france won't do anything they're making billions from india. While it is suggested that the JF17 might be considered as a replacement for Qatar's Alpha's. I wonder if there is a twist in the deal where Pakistan swaps JF17's and perhaps receives some cash and retired Qatari Mirage 2000's in exchange as the latter get replaced by the Rafales. With our Mirage rebuild facility, years of know how and perhaps with an up gradation program we could extract some really useful life out of those 2000's. Both Qatar and Pakistan kill two birds with one stone.
no way, man. the JF-17 block 3 will be a 4th generation type fighter but the rest of the jets aren't 4th generation. the JF-17 BLK 1/2 are currently 3.5 generation fighter jets.JF-17 program, economy and foreign policy.
Regarding the JF-17 program, PAF should increase the local production of its components to a hundred percent minus the engine. After that it should come up with a JF-17 NG along with indigenous munitions.
This JF-17 NG is essential to PAF's dream of self-reliance. It should be a match for any 4.5 Gen fighter.

i doubt anything comes out of this the JF-17 is more of a show of force rather then any kind of sales, its to show a country look at us we can build fighter jets, we have some power. i think some of the reports about it replacing the alphajet seem a bit nonsensical, the JF-17 was designed as a mid tech fighter, its cheap and reliable, the qataris have money to spend, it makes no sense for them to retire the mirage 2000 and bring in the JF-17.
