if PAF stays with flying and training and leaves the marketing for a dedicated and professional marketing company then such ambiguity wont happen. the least it can do is issue an explanation when it chose not to participate.. leaving everything to forum posters POV is hardly a good idea to market a product. Why not a month ago when there was an Airshow? I hope they are not there just for the sake of another demo that won't materialize into a sale. It seems strange considering we skipped the Airshow which means we don't consider it any beneficial for our sales and then a month later you are going to make sale to very same country . Maybe some political game is gong on in the background.

I dodnt know that. I thought issue is between Qatar and KSA.. and that too only mild one on political preferences between say Al-khwan vs Morsi ..For me, Not participating in Bahrain air show is obvious.............bcz you already in line with Qatar as you cannot sell a fighter jets to both.
Pakistan cannot pitch the same fighter to countries which considers each other somewhat near enemies, if not true friends [Qatar-Bahrain marine borders are not defined and their are issue of armed skirmishes near each other possessive islands. (Although, at both ends Jawans mostly are of Pakistani origin and they always plays it safely)]

but it makes sense
thanks for clarifying.. how are you by the way
I'm not sure now, but that was the situation between both countries sometimes back.
I'm......Well indeed, thks.
That sometime back was 20 years ago. They resolved all outstanding issued 10-15 years back. The main fight was on a resource rich Island. THat issue was resolved through International court of Justice.
well it was said that PAF had some other commitments and for that reason they didn't go to Bahrain. To me it was like we were already in contact with Qatar and knowing the necessity Bahrain Air Show wasn't preferred.

and this display at Qatar might be that "other commitment"
a 4th generation fighter are fighters like the F-16C/D,F/A-18, mirage 2000/05,F-14,SU-30,Mig 29, J-10A/B, JAS-39C/D, F-15C/D, Fighters of this generation had a revolutionary design which separated them from there predecessor aircraft, like the F-4/F-5/SU-22/MIG21/23/Mirage III. The JF-17s design isn't like that its more like a hybrid between a legacy fighter and a 4th generation type fighter(its similar to the F-20 TIGERSHARK). the JF-17 has the potential to be a 4th generation fighter with IFR, AESA, etc but for it to be a 4.5 generation aircraft you need to change the design.would you plz enlighten us about the necessary characteristics of 4th gen & 4.5th gen jet .... (no cheating plz google is not allowed)
With the JFT block III becoming a reality, I think in the case of many middle eastern governments, every nation should have it as this is a cheaper, but very capable fighter to have for "daily" use. You can keep your EFT's, Raales and other $ 70 million planes for tier I support during prime time conflicts. But maintain defensive alerts, CAP's, Pilot Hours and Combat training on the JFT. I think it provides the most bang for the buck. It will also diversify these countries air-forces to have two capable Weapons system (Western and this).
Remember, the JFT's internal layout and user interaction is based on the F-16 (Western) so it shouldn't be difficult to fly and adapt for any air-force which uses Western weapons systems and jets. I think you'll see the JFT block III in Qatar, KSA, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Miramar, Sudan, Nigeria and in Venezuela at the least. There may be others out there more than this list. Let the block III role out though
