It was the Qajar dynasty who lost Azerbaijan to Russia, how absurd it would be if we claim the lands Ottomans had just because we are successors of them ? and as far as I know Khanates in Azerbaijan were not even under the direct control of Qajar dynasty but accepting them something like an upper authority.

Aren't all those beliefs and political thougts imposed on people are in fact a kind of propoganda ?

Is Azerbaijan still under Russian influence? not any more. Atheism has nothing to do with fuss between Azerbaijan and Iran. Azerbaijan is not atheistic, they are religious just as Turkey and Iran. I only wanted to point out Shiism is not that strong as you think. Azerbaijan is a clear proof of that. Turkic brotherhood is stronger bond than all those sectarian ideologies

You gotta be kidding me right? The current ruler of Republic of azarbadjan is hardcore atheist. The whole system is. Big friend of israel. There are many shia muslims but they are supressed, as they are in Turkey. One can not compare Turkey with Iran claiming that they are equally following islam. Iran has sharia, no brothels, no casinos, no alcohol, no nude beaches, no night clubs. Quite contrary to Turkey.

Aliyev is a great man. He understands that Shiism or Sunnism doesn't matter. He is a great leader and Iran should take him as a role model. Secterian conflict only destroys the neighborhood.

Yes, follow aliyev, asking for his handbook and inform ourself on how ''can we turn ourself into Israeli,American protistute in the neighbourhood''

Turkey is secular country but its people are muslim, some are liberal, some are conservative, but Turkey doesn't pursue sectarian agenda like Iran, neither does Azerbaijan. That is why I say you should take Aliyev as role model. He is a great man. If he is atheist, it is his own choice, and who says he suppresses Shia? Can you explain this?

Not one Azeri from Azerbaijan would never choose Iran because of shiism, if it is that what you mean. And if it is true that Azerbaijan is anti-Iran because of Russian influence, Azerbaijan would also be anti-Turkish because of Russian influence. Azerbaijan is a great country compared to Iran. They are only doing business with Israel because Iran is doing business with Armenia. A country who commited genocide to Azeri people.

Why wouldn't they support Israel? Doesn't IRan support Armenia? A country who commited genocide against Azeri muslims? Azerbaijan is a modern country, if Iran gets modernized as much as Azerbijan you shoud thank god a 1000 times.

For God sake how long are you Iranians and Turks going to fight over this?

BTW have Azeris ever revolted against modern day Iran?

Yes it was Qajar, one of many Iranian dynasties. As you know Iran is a very big country, today twice the size of Turkey, and at the time of Qajar much bigger.

Well, what you just said is pretty common among radical Islamists who likes to show those freedoms as the only thing that secularism offers. I haven't made my mind about you yet, but i have my suspicions that you are one of those narrow minded people who can not see the world without horse-glasses.

Did you know that all those dynasties are not considered as the "same" country ? like it is in history of rest of the world.

I can't remember when I asked how big Iran is ? at least we don't have huge *** deserts in our country :D

Qajar's are Turkic speaking. According to Ottoman prince (which I can't remember his name) they could speak with Qajar's easily without using a dictionary or something like this when both families were in exile.

We have fought for every inch of Iran. We are one of the few countries in the region which borders haven't been drawn by foreign powers.

I neither remember asking about that, but we did the same anyway :D

How amusing this is... Radical islamist? Narrow minded with horse glasses?

The level of quality of this thread has crashed since your homeboys destroyed it with trolling and you are accusing of this and that? how old are you?

There is not only the issue of constitutional human right abuses of ethnic groups in Turkey. The religious minorities such as Shias and Allavies are also in danger in Turkey.

You know why the ottoman prince could speak with the qajar? Because in the Othoman Empire the educated inhabitants spoke Persian.

Thank you.
