India drops out of 2012 PISA test

Indians are among the highest numbers of foreign students in top universities especially in US who clears GRE,SAT and GMAT. Indians are still in plenty major US industries especially Fortune 500. How could these students perform if they have low IQ and bad English and Math skills.

So do Somalians. Now either i) prove yourself right or ii) prove me wrong. :P

Read # 19 of mine

For why we opted out. But I still said, we should let it conduct in those schools where students are familiar with the items on which they will be judged.

Read Post # 29 of mine
Do Somalians have what I have mentioned there ? Leave Somalia. Its far off. Why not compare your country on the point of that post.

Now you prove me wrong. :coffee:

At least go through the thread before making these comments.

Indian Engineering graduates are more employable than the Chinese. So if I were you I would shut up. Only 10% of Chinese engineering graduates are globally employable as compared to 25% Indian Graduates. Tsk tsk.

If you read your own report, 80% of Japanese engineers are also "unemployable". Figure 1.1 page 3. So does this mean that India is a much stronger technological power than Japan?

Also the report is inaccurate, as the word "engineer" is highly specific: 工程师, and the degree they have is also highly specific: 工学学士 (BSE), and there's no "dialect" difference.

I think they just made this one up.

Thats not the point though, if anything it means that Chinese companies employ below par engineers.

So do Japanese companies then

India stronger than Japan!

Why is this so surprising? Maybe the Japanese fall behind because of English. You d need good command of English to be considered employable on the global scene.

And of course they must have made it up, anything which doesn't show China in good light is made up.

A whopping 38% of Chinese Engineering Graduates lack technical skills:woot:

Funny that when this news paper publishes anti-China, anti-Pakistan news it is called TOIlet newspaper.

Come on guys. Next time believe what TOI says.

This time I am accepting what this news paper said. :D

Same holds true when its the other way around, isnt it?

Possibly true for Chinese students.

But if Indian students are so much better, why India lags behind China in almost each and every engineering and science field?

There must be a reason.

There is a reason, and let me tell you that its not brains. Engineering and Science research is resource intensive field, the more money you pour in the more output you get. Its as simple as that really. With Chinese economy booming, a lot of money was invested in R&D and you see that result today.

India lags because of money, not because Indians are dumb or less intelligent.

who cares about PISA, when you have to compete for world's toughest exams in India itself................

I guarantee you many people have not heard about PISA, nor they care about PISA. Majority students will be worried about how can they get admission to the best colleges of engineering and medicines and doctors.

I have never heard about PISA test untill I joined PDF (PISA tests are only used by chinese posters to prove how the han chinese are superior to all other asian races or more so whole world (what a superiority complex), while as Roybot pointed out in actual world, situation is quite different).

This is what US says. This is reality.

If I was 9 or 10th student and was given option to appear PISA test, I would have just bunked that test.
We are not brainwashed CCP zombies who want to make China proud at the cost of their own lives.

No, you are not zombies.

You are shining Indians, better than China in every field.

Who cares what PISA says, when the results clearly speak for themselves. India has clearly beaten us in everything, from education to development to sports to economy.

You are going to have so much fun now...don't you...

I am gearing up for posters who are coming online one by one. :D

Why dont we just stage manage the test instead like in other countries?
Reality is Planning Commission and Education board don't really care for staging anything. They have harder goals to achieve. Our most important target has been primary education. Now we are focusing on higher and graduate education too. It will take many years.
