Yes, life is good. Mexican economy was booming for much f the 2000s, as the progressive PAN fostered closer ties with non-US trade partners (EU, Asia-Pacific, South America, etc.), although the return of the conservative PRI (who has a history of selling Mexican interests out to the US) made it take a slight dip in recent years.
Things are so good in México, that during the last decade, more Americans have immigrated to Mexico than the other way around; so much so, that American medias have to lie through their teeth to portray Mexicans as "wetbacks" to prop up the fallacy of America as the "promised land". In fact, half of the American immigrants in Mexico are "wetbacks" who overstayed their visas: these losers can't even afford the trip home.
