So Lavrov just reiterated without any change the 50 year old Russian stance that all issues between Indian & Pakistan are meant to be resolved by bilateral talks based on bilateral deals like 1971 Simla agreement & 1999 Lahore declaration.
He made ZERO mention of UN resolutions.


How is this bad for India????
India always said bilateral agreements like 1971 Simla agreement are the only means to resolve disputes.

Russia did not also offer mediation.

Russia has not said anything different. the Russian ambassador has clearly said that Articel 370 is an internal matter of India and that Kashmir is a purely bilateral issue. Russia has repeatedly rejected UN mediation into Kashmir. Also remember it was Russia that blocked China's request to hold a formal meeting on Kashmir.

Also, Pakistanis have failed to explain why Russia is still bringing up Shimla, when Pakistan's position has been that India's actions violated Shimla. The fact is, Russia has supported India on Article 370 since day one. The fact Pakistanis are trying to spin Russia calling for bilateral talks(which almost every country has done) as support for Pakistan's position shows their desperation.

As for bilateral talks, India has clearly stated in a variety of international forums that it will talk to Pakistan when it stops supporting terrorism. Also, Imran Khan himself said there will be no talks with India.

Before asking me to explain to you and educate you; will you care to re-read what you type? and that Pakistan supporting terrorism thing has nothing to do with reality but more of a farce like Brahmin treating Dalit equally.

You are still running away from the argument and instead of making some logic, resorted to provoke others that we are suppose to spin? What matter is FM and what is coming from Moscow. Pakistan deal with Moscow not with the Russian Ambassador in India. Take it as something for local consumption. What Russian FM said during UN session which is important, and that is the UN resolution on Kashmir, hence endorsing IOK as disputed territory, not part of India.
