What's new

China will soon have the warship with laser weaponry

.
Capability is something which needs to be discovered. When you have the will to learn, try and action things, then there will always be a way.

When one starts defeating itself, then there is no way.

In this case, the "will" is simply overoptimism

Always one step ahead of the USA than China.
For example: electromagnetic cannon, USA is 1st, China is 2nd. Controlled nuclear fusion, USA is 1st, China is 2nd. Laser weapons, USA is 1st, China is 2nd...

If China's overall industrial capacity not surpass the USA, China's military technology can not surpass the USA.

Controlled fusion? Come on, no one has done that yet. Some privately funded research happening in the US. USSR also had a well funded Cold Fusion programme. Right now CERN is the only organisation with a worthwhile programme going. We are still decades away from anything concrete. Waiting for certain technologies to mature, I guess.

Because there are no ships in the world that are equipped with laser

Not yet doesn't mean never. Just because China lags behind the United States in most areas doen't mean that China lags behind the U.S. in every area.

We have been able to do controlled fusion for quite a while.
The problem is that current techniques require a net input of energy, so we can't use it for power generation.
But it can be used for weapons systems.

Still in an experimental stage. energy output is negligible whereas the inputs are very substantial.

Weapon system? That is the thermonuclear bomb, totally uncontrolled.

A Controlled fusion device would be one in which a large portion of the energy released during fusion would the harnessed to drive turbines to generate electricity.

Dont comment on something you have no clue.

Acturally the so called laser weapon has already been used on the MBT 99 tank.

A laser dazzler is in a different class to one that can destroy incomming planes and missiles, though.

not going to happen without developing nuke powered engines first

and even then it'll only be used as a countermeasure against incomming missiles.

sounds like we'll be seeing nuclear destroyers (even saying that sounds cool) coming out of Jiangnan Shipyards soon.

I don't see it as over optimism, but rather, the motivation that is needed to make things happen. Chinese history proved its doubters wrong many times before. You can either go along or against it. Self defeating is a losers mentality. Not being capable is one thing, but not being capable and then just sit down, whine and do nothing about it means you will never become capable.

That is a softkill device used to disable the enemy tank' electro-optics/blind enemy soldiers.
Yes,it is.The pictures are so far I can find from the intenet which are all the light and soft kill laser equipments.Concerning the heavy and hard kill ones,it might take sometime to get the pictures.
