What's new

Why the ethnic hate recently?

"Hate" is a strong word but the way I see it, some ethnicities who are not Punjabi are frustrated with Punjab and they have some valid reasons.

Firstly, it was not the partition of Pakistan, but partition of Punjab. Muslims, Sikhs, and Hindus of Punjab were killing each other in 47. The people of KP, Sind and Baluchistan had nothing to do with anything that is modern day part of India and in fact, if Punjab didn't go through a civil war, Kashmir would have been free as well because mainland Hindus of India would have not have had access unless Punjab was united as one. After dividing your own, you can't label it as "Pakistan's war of independence".

Secondly, it is well know that Pakistan Army is getting called out including by Punjabis themselves. But when you are 60% Punjabi and take training and inspiration from British colonialism, the optics from non Punjabi lens is bad and lets not forget that Zia ul Haq was the other extreme, the most hated General this nation has ever produced who was a Punjabi and who created extremists like the Taliban who went on to cause massive destruction in KP and Afghanistan. The rule is don't play with fire. Wherever there is a tribal system, respect it and let their issues be solved by their tribal heads.

Third, Sindhis and Balochis have feudalism. That is a big issue but the last thing you want to do is buy Sardars. As the largest ethnicity, you have the responsibility of playing neutral and not do things like extracting their gas and giving those not picked by you the excuse to label you of stealing it.

Fourtly, while Sindhis, Baluchistan and Pashtuns are proud of their heritage and culture, entertaining and imposing Indian culture, including Indian language is a crime. None other than Lahoris themselves invited Javed Akhatar who we just saw insulted Pakistanis on Pakistani soil and rather than condemn him, the elites of Punjab worshipped and kissed his feet. What message does that send?

Fifth, all the decisions of elections are decided in Punjab. Is that fair?
Jinnah offered the other side of Punjab to join and they declined. What did you want them to do? 🤡

And this Zia stuff is literally just cope. more than half of ur population itself is extremist and praises the taliban. The most hated general is actually Musharraf literally due to the opposite reason you stated.

Secondly, Hamid Gul, Assad Durrani, and Naseerullah Babar Khan were the biggest supporters and architects of the Taliban. All Pashtun. Even today the most common supporters of the Taliban are Pashtuns, ironically even of the TTP!

Yahya Khan the marital law dictator and General Niazi were responsible for the loss of Bangladesh. Ayub Khan from KPK another dictator.

Zia united the country when it was fragmented and then took the war to the soviets in Afghanistan which Pashtuns themselves wanted, and its literally part of the tribal cultures people. He was literally the best one from all of them and his tenure experienced the highest rate of growth.

Taliban, extremism, TTP, violence, losing Bangladesh - all Pasthuns lmao. The security situation they themselves created scares away any FDI or infrastructual development and then they simultaneously complain of no development and oppression. cringe.

Last few weeks have proven the likes of Malik Khizar Tiwana right.

Have a look at this: Pakistani actresses embraces Indian culture at her wedding.

. . . . .
The odd Dancing behavior is Product of Media influence. Over people while women did dance at wedding, but it was restricted only with female audience and in presence of small children.

These scenes of Male/Female dancing is borrowed concepts from Across the border movie industry, because Pakistan itself has failed to impose own cultural concepts

Movie influence

Youtube however has exposed Pakistan in this area well

tier 1 - Fahashi : Elite parties
tier 2 - Fahashi : Private gathering where money is thrown at performers at farms (Mujra)
tier 3 - Fahashi : Actor community trying to act hip
tier4 - Fahashi : The need to Dance and do a "Number" song , baby go become a call girl
tier5 - Fahashi : The good old stage Mujra

All these tiers of Fahashi have nothing to do with Islamic Republic of Pakistan

These are the state of Moral decay Pakistan is at

Acha I wonder why few weeks ago it wasn't the case but afterwards it is cause you feel like it

We don't f-ing want tiwana - we are happy IDC about you listing out how feudal lord's and political hereditary dynasties were right

But don't bring rest of us into it

Abe mere paghlot bhai- how's this even Indian culture - it's central Punjabi (cause it's too big) culture pushed out of it's conservative boundaries and saree stuff was off

Hate it or love it - we are a big country with diverse cultures, that's why we have divided the country into semi independent administrative units to do as they wish outside of bigger federal level stuff, recognizing that

Edit - @Mirzali Khan nm, you're right, I looked around at wedding photos, yeah that's not ours
My mistake

I have noticed that recently we have had a lot of posts that have been ethnic centric and racist. These have been leaving a bad taste in the mouth for readers like me.

Mods, what is the forum policy on posts like this?

I am not saying that a little bit of competition is bad, we can definitely jostle about which city is better, who is more patriotic, etc.,

But I don’t think it ought to be okay to be racist and pejorative against an ethnic group if they are Pakistani. I don’t think it’s good for the country and frankly it’s immoral and unethical too.

What are your thoughts?
Many of these are BJP it trolls with fake I'd.

By all means, fully expect Haji Sahib to open a night club soon (Sarcasm intended)

We need more dance clubs , some LGBT courses Seminars

They already started to teach some special Brother Sister course work in University to kick start things, obviously the students and their parents were shocked at the questions in the University exam but it is all part of Modernization planned by PDM

if the hips and buttocks are not thrashing , we certainly can't become an Asian Tiger

Bro here’s the thing, we can highlight a problem without denigrating an entire ethnicity. Calling someone’s race barbaric is not going to help anyone or anything. They are just as much Pakistani as the rest of us.

I find it strange that people are quick to ignore the valid grievances of people in the FATA region and Balochistan. Do they not have valid grievances? If the establishment is disappearing people right now, it seems they have been doing it elsewhere for decades. And frankly if their current patterns of disappearing is anything to go by, I hate to say it but the missing persons issue is probably a real grievance.

Yes I disagree with the reaction to that grievance, anti nationalism and terrorism and militancy, but surely the root cause is the grievance is it not? It’s like how we say that we lost east Pakistan well before 71.

Stop the terrorism which largely emanates from KPK, cultural toxicity and racism, contribute more to tax and you will see improvements in your condition

Look inwards, there would be no reason for drones if you weren't blowing yourself up in every other area and housing Al Qaeda and other Arab extremists

Even in Punjab recently all you guys do is fight like maniacs with sticks and anything you pick up. There is no sense of civility at all, there's not even a high bar in Pakistan.

"People in KP" that's a nice way to sugar-coat tribal extremists going on a killing spree, exploding themselves in masjids and civillian areas and beheading people...

It's your own actions that made the state so desperate for extreme measures

Im neither Pashtun nor Punjabi.
But is it the Pashtuns fault that the Punjabi heavy establishment fuked up with it's Afghan policy?

It was the Pashtuns asking the govt to open madrassas and borders for afghan Mujahideen or Taliban?

It was their choice to be used ?

You claim Pashtuns are at fault i.e terrorism. Do you also forget the Punjabi terrorist among ttp ranks? Or how Punjabis dominate on secterianism?

Punjabis live in a bubble, visit other provinces too.

You guys claim Baloch are screwed by sardari nizam, yet it's always the establishment that controls them, see today even Baloch separatists don't give a crap about the same sardars you blame? A good example is Sarfraz Bugti, or the addict CM of Balochistan. All chosen by you know who.

Aren't we also your brothers ? Is all our fault ?

I read a note about Baloch in a fuking book, talking about how Baloch means barbaric blood thirsty people who fight eachother but unite when attacked and alot more BS.

When a Baloch kid reads that is he supposed to feel pride in that?

Blaming establishment f ups is like blaming Pashtuns of fata for Taliban

Establishment is it's own universe that can't be controlled or even probably influenced by anyone although they happen to be fifty, sixty % punjabi through no fault of ours

We don't like em nor did they ask for our endorsement before enacting thier policies good or bad (if it was a political party you can blame people cause at the end of the day people vote for em)

Most of the ttp is made up of people of fata - although they have support but not all tribals support thier barbaric acts

And as ttp is no democratic party nor is it's policies enacted by the approval of fata-ians - we can't hold them responsible for it's acts

If it was up to me I'd stand up and won't let my country be bombed and national honor tarnished, I would want our people to be educated and economically prosperous

But vast majority of Pakistanis never had a say in these matters

Irrelevant..

The point is why we should allow foreigners to bomb our own country?
Ghariat is something foreign to Pakistanis

👏

Only Chinese Iranians and indians have that ghariat and will never allow a foreigner to bomb any part of their country

Note that I am not complaining if PAF uses drones against militants but foreigner countries doing it and no one being bothered about it

😂

The reason is simple. Ancient civilizational DNA.

These 3 are bonafide civilizations. Not just modern nations.

These 3 have zero confusion about their identity and place in history.
