When you look at number of nobel prize won by individualism then following facts emerges:

1. Nobel Prizes have been awarded to over 800 individuals of whom at least 20% were Jews, although Jews comprise less than 0.2% of the world's population.

2. As of 2012, 10 winners of the Nobel Prize have been Muslims of 1.5 billion population. Six of the 10 winners were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.( List includes Abdus Salam whom Pakistan consider non-muslim)

3. Total 7 Hindus won that award out of 1 Billion people.

Maybe the Jews are God's Chosen people as said in Bible. Or it has something to do with the fact that in Judaism education and learning is a religious obligation. No matter how poor you are you must see that your child is educated. In Judaism you must set aside time for study all of your life. Perhaps it is the Jewish culture that has made them more educated and as a consequence, more successful.

Population is a two edged sword, our scenario isn't different from USA of the late nineteenth hundred, then came the industrial revolution, and the same 'population' paid off.

It's all about proper utilization of the population, and Education is an indispensable tool, no doubt.

4. The cultures they live in emphasize on strong work ethics. I don't know about India, but in Muslim-majority nations, strong work ethics is simply insufficient. How do you think a resource-less nation like Japan (not Jewish) have significant noble laureates? They are highly developed, high HDI, and come up with the best methodology for national development. It's strong work ethics. So culture plays a critical role. Religion is not too significant here.

Points #1 and #4 are pretty crucial. The GCC states for instance are loaded and stable, but very few laureates.

It would be nice to know how many among the 'Jewish Nobel laureates' are religious or observant Jews. I believe most of them are simply very normal but inquisitive people.

Partly because Jews were in Europe when Europe was making great advances in the sciences and in education.

like the Industrial revolution. Jews have lived more with Christians and Europeans than Muslims.

In Muslim countries there were no industrial revolution. Advanced universities were mostly Palace schools. Or atleast that is how it was in the Ottoman empire.

There was no concept of universal literacy in Muslim countries. Only those who were of higher status in society had an education.

Muslim societies were mainly agricultural dominated economies, while European ones in the 19th century was all about manufacturing, basically what you make.

The Muslim world has almost caught up now.

Besides the nobel prize is such a political system to score points. Obama was given the nobel prize when he didn't deserve it.

There is one other factor they work among themselves for example a Jewish guy will use a fellow Jewish lawyer or accountant etc they keep the money in their own community that is very important also.

anyway, jews are organised and while living in the west they are not only with modern thinking but they have some characteristics like family, which gives organisation to life, which we think is eastern and not western

if jews werent organised and united then they would have lost their identity thousands of years ago
