Dangerous? Depends....this thing has now a life of its own with many believing it completely. You see it on this forum too, even with normal mature members buying into that argument. Too many Pakistanis live in different plane of altered reality. That's why they completely ignore the OBL episode but ask why Obama isn't visiting an ally, they don't understand the portrayal on a TV series except as just another conspiracy theory. They have no clear answer that makes sense to any of us to the question of why the rest of the world should be all conspiring against Pakistan but they are sure of it. You will see it even in their approach to India, they actually believe that they have all the aces and simply accuse India of not wanting peace etc because India doesn't agree to their position in toto. You will see many here & on their TV programs & newspaper articles urging the government of Pakistan to mount an media & diplomatic offensive, that delusion can only make sense if you live in a reality different from the one we see. They keep talking about their losses in the war on terror as being imposed because they joined someone else's fight, they don't understand when the world isn't appreciative of their argument that terrorists not attacking Pakistan currently should be given a free reign, they don't understand when the world doesn't buy their figures of losses, either in terms of the people killed or the amount supposedly suffered (usually an outrageous figure in the very high billions of dollars) and they actually think that the rest of the world is being wicked if they don't give Pakistan everything it demands.
I would assume that this amount of delusion is dangerous, both for themselves as well as to all those who have to deal with them. I just don't see a way out though. The situation now controls the delusion to a point where you have to wonder whether delusion is necessary for survival itself.
