What does China want?

basically, the article is not for Chinese extremists, but to the world for understanding Chinese spirit.

to summarize "they trying to persuade you to identify Chinese thinking is different from the remain of the world because historic elements"
when they said something not truth about their historic evidence, that's still true to them because that's in their school book, everything under the sky belong to Chinese.
Another fact is Chinese leader always drive Chinese hurt feeling to reach their targets.

Admit that Chinese is easy to get mad or Chinese propaganda system mastered their tactic.

Its important to understand the regional dynamic.

LOL, in what universe?

Apparently, the only thing you got from "天下" is the pronunciation (Thiên hạ is pretty much taken exactly from the Cantonese pronunciation).

Chinese ancestors don't know any other universe, they even know only one continent.

In ancient China, the prevailing belief was that the Earth was flat and square, while the heavens were round, an assumption virtually unquestioned until the introduction of European astronomy in the 17th century. The English sinologist Cullen emphasizes the point that there was no concept of a round Earth in ancient Chinese astronomy:

Chinese thought on the form of the earth remained almost unchanged from early times until the first contacts with modern science through the medium of Jesuit missionaries in the seventeenth century. While the heavens were variously described as being like an umbrella covering the earth (the Kai Tian theory), or like a sphere surrounding it (the Hun Tian theory), or as being without substance while the heavenly bodies float freely (the Hsüan yeh theory), the earth was at all times flat, although perhaps bulging up slightly.

so stronger china becomes economically so better it is for other countries to choose between American or Chinese money. Of course for some asian neighbors who havent settled their territorial deputes with china its bad for them from national prestige perspective.

Chinese ancestors don't know any other universe. And they weren't taught by Christopher Colombus book until 19th century.

This is what you said:

that's still true to them because that's in their school book, everything under the sky belong to Chinese.

It's wrong.

The Tianxia worldview was turned completely upside down during the Century of Humiliation, nobody believes it in a literal sense anymore.

even north koreans may starve to death but at least they don't have foreign soldiers stationed on their soil and randomly raping their women. no persons with minimum self respect will see their women being raped by foreign soldiers as ordinary crimes as it would mean their motherland being raped

It actually teaches me a lot about Chinese nationalism. VN mems and Chinese mems often quarels because we all try to mock the other national pride. I wouldn't call it anti-china propaganda, well except for the last 3 sentences. The original text also does not have statement like "Paracels and Spartly belong to VN", "China gets out of East Sea". A few jokes here and there are acceptable, I think.
I don't deny there are Chinese Nationalism in China, any country have, But analyse of the article is very superfical on it, the author who write the article stand on the opposite of the China, from the article, I can find too many fear to China Nationalism, why human will be afraid of something, two reason: 1, it is very dangerous indeed; 2, don't konw it well, in my opinion, the author of the article belong to later one.

The article is too long, such kind of article I have read many, not only from Foreign, also have some from Chinese, it has little nutrition.

Can you explain this, Yuanmingyuan is the product name but the flames in background.

I am in company, can't see the picture, but I may could guess what it is!

But, what do you want me explain? directly.

EVERYONE IS AFRAID OF CHINA.....WHY???
Because China is using nationalism to fuel their rising. And Nationalism is explosive. Many ultra-nationlists are considered terrorists because they resort to using extreme actions against others.

To VNese, Chinese nationalism is indeed dangerous. Of course the author is also biased, and I personally disagree with some of his points.
I translated this article to let PDF know the view of VN in the issue of Chinese nationalism. I read a comment from a VNese forum like this: "We are patriotic. Chinese are also patriotic. We can't compete who is more patriotic". So there are VNese who sympathize with Chinese about the SCS issues. Still the majority is against China. The author is one of the majority.

a genuine (not fake) japanese would have felt ashamed, angered for this. show me a single foreign soldier who dares commit such crimes on the soil of china. you can't, thats what freedom and sovereignty stand for, i don't know you understand what freedom and sovereignty mean, your dictionary may have different meaning for them, not mine. i won't make it complex by referring to saussurian semiology but i can tell you, those rapes are more than rapes and they have much deeper symbolic meaning which some get and some don't
I don't get it. I see a person as a person, not base on his color or nationality. You said that US soldier raped Japanese woman, but without that raping incident, aren't there any rape accident caused by Japanese men to Japanese women? Why caused a fuss about it? Every nation has its own kind of criminals. Japan and US are too close so the criminal could target people under a different flag.
And there is this joke about 2008 Olympics: a foreign athlete had to compete with a Chinese athlete. One day before the match, he commited suicide. In his dying letter, he explained that he could compete with one man, ten men, but he could never go agaisnt 1 billion people. Comment me on this statement: to Chinese, one crime commited by foreigner to a single Chinese is a crime against all the people of China.

TL;DR

Please be simple! Thanks!
Ok, here is a sumary:

China is undeniable rising power, and seeking total control of its operating ground, i.e East Asia. But China is also an irresponsible power, abuses its power to gain advantages in competition, not to maintain the current world order.

CCP stops using communism as the core theory and switches to nationalism. Their mission is no longer building a ideal society, but to restore the former glory of China Empire. By manipulating Chinese nationalism, they justify their right to rule the nation. The author points out that doing that is dangerous because nationalism is a raging volcano that one it goes off, the world will burn.

The rest are jokes, useless information. I recommend looking at the note for higher quality documents, in English of course.
