I think Bangladesh should focus on upgrading Mig-29 not buying Jf-17 altough not a bad alternative.

I cannot give a link, but I think BD has already decided about the purchasing JF-17. Because the PM uttered the name of this plane in one of her speech in the airforce ground. At that time I thought that this will come from China. But, nobody can say for sure that these will not be from Pakistan direct only because AL is in power. Our military top brass has always maintained a coordial relationship with Pakistan military since after 1971. Even President Ershad received one or two squadrons of planes from Pakistan sometime in the 80s. Note that Gen. Ershad was a Colonel in the Pakistan Army in 1971.

Which is why we have 7 squarons of MKI ready with 10 more + Atleast 7 MRCA and 2 tejas in the making. JF17 you say?
And btw, BD airforce without any advanced SAMs or AWACS would be target practice.
