West Bengal name change to "Bangla" and Bangladesh's national anthem dilemma

. .
Nobody knows Bangladesh, Bengali means us. You are Bangladeshi.

Who says we are not Bangladeshi? We are BANGLADESHI. Period and very proud of our nationality. We are ethnically Bengali but nationality is Bangladeshi. You are ethnically Bengali but your nationality is a matter of great debate.

What you don't realise your Bangla state is a de facto Bangladesh who calls any other non-Bengali 'Hindustani'. Don't you call non-Bengalis Hindustani people? If you are so 'Indian' why do you call non-Bengalis Hindustani? Truth is you are infact Bangladeshi in denial. Your state is also now called 'Bangla'.

Why do Bengalis call non-Bengalis "Hindustani"? Aren't we all Hindustanis?

Yes, it's true.
I have heard a lot of bengalis, even my own parents call non-bengalis as "Hindustani". But the real catch here is that, while saying so, they are referring to the people who have 'Hindi' as their 'mother-tongue' , and not referring to the nationality. The phrase has carried over from older generations , when Bengal was a 'sultanate' and hindi speaking people(foreigners) were referred to as "Hindustanis"(before a united India), but i dont see many newer generation people adhering to such a practice.

No wonder you lot produce just 44 patents in your country. A dull, talentless lot.

No one in West Bengal calls themselves "Bangladeshi" (other than some illegals quietly in their own little huts)....

Its just Bengali....and always Indian. Moniker "Bangladeshi" is a big insult actually....in West Bengal and beyond. No one wants to insult themselves with such an identity.

Now you are free to try your best to claim Bengali identity....just don't expect anyone in India or the world to take you seriously or even care about it. Your culture has next to NOTHING to contribute to India or the world. A sad lot of pretenders and copiers. Its why you are all addicted to Indian culture and indian goods and visiting India.

You are a shameless lot that have had a confused identity complex so you try to boldly hang onto "bengali" like you hang on to your "3 million genocide" claim.

So go cry among yourselves....no one outside your swamp gives a damn about what you think you are.

Did India protest the name Bangladesh like you lot are not crying about West Bengal renaming?

Does Israel sense a big Bangladeshi conspiracy afoot involving their opposition party like BAL just did with Mossad and BNP?

You constantly show yourselves to the whole world what you exactly are verbally....and then physically portray it when you get afflicted with 70% poverty when you somehow flee to a richer county.

Just a big bunch of failure all around.

You propitiate a Hindu god every time you say a day of the week in Bengali. If that does not rankle majority Bangladeshis....then why should use of name "Bangla" in the anthem matter?

Do a referendum if you really care about it that much.

OmG Never ask anyone to read about it.

Thursday is brihaspati in Bengali. Brihaspati was the sage who forced his brother's wife Mamata to have sex with him. But Mamata was already pregnant, so the fetus inside her threw the discharge out which upon falling on the ground gave birth to Bhardwaj.Cool story. :o:

Anyway The name of the Day shares the name with him but has no connection. Mere pronunciation of the name is not blasphemous. so stop worrying

Lol where did you pull that story from? Some English translation? You have to read it in Sanskrit to get the essence of the story, not some English translation open to interpretation and skewing of context and esoteric quality.

Anyways I will report your post since you are getting quite angry and desperate and attempting to mock a religion.....and I dont particularly feel like talking about your prophet since its all available on the internet anyway.

I replied in the context to the original post by reading a Bengali book published from Kolkata written by a Hindu writer. I didn't change or alter any word. It is the original religion.

The controversial things written about Prophet Muhammad is in hadiths which are written 200 yrs after he was death. Hadiths are out right rejected if it contradicts Quran.

Quote the name of the book and the writer. There are many especially in Bengal that distort translations while pretending to be Hindu.

I know because I know what he is trying to translate from the Maharabharata regarding the story of Brihaspathi recited by Bhishma....and doing a bad job of it...if it is Ganguli or another like him.

It mostly stems from classical Sanskrit having many meanings for the same word....letting translators pick whichever is the most appealing to their own fantasies.

I actually don't want to talk about the Quran at all. The internet is full of enough information regarding its "Science" for all those interested.

The secular historicity of the last prophet compiled by many historians is enough for me to know what his story actually is about. If you want to restrict yourself only on whats covered in your holy book, thats not my problem.

I follow the model of Aristotle to question everything with pure reasoning and evidence. It is impossible for a strict proponent of an Abrahamic religion to follow that....so its best to let that be as it is.

If you want to discuss religion, this is not the forum for it I am afraid.

Can you please call them back as most of them resort to stealing and drugs (speaking from personal experience) on one hand we have a first hand experience of irritating illegal bangladeshi immigrants in all our major cities and on the other we have the highly intellectual kinds from bangladesh calling us Indians slumdog bharati on pdf..... something worth pondering right??

Since West Bengal is now officially called 'Bangla' I will call it Bangla.

80% of Bangla people have Bangladesh roots. Bangla people fled Bangladesh to India due to religious persecution of radical Jamaatis / fundamentalists. These people are called 'Bangal' (In Hindi it means land of Bengal but in Bengali the word is used to refer people of Bangladesh land, so two different meaning). @Rain Man 's family was one of such unfortunate family who got kicked of from Bangladesh at the time of partition. Its really sad. So they are always uncomfortable talking about the past. India sheltered Bangal people in Bangla and they are very thankful to India for this reason. Its our fault that we didn't keep our own people in our country but it doesn't mean they are not Bangladeshi.

Bangladesh is not a new name. The whole Bengal was one time called Bangladesh. Ask your Bengali friends if I am wrong. Still people of Bangla (West Bengalis) call 'Banglar Mati, Banglar Jol' (Bangla's soil, Bangla's water), not Bharoter Mati, Bharoter Jol.

There is a popular proverb in Bangla. 'What Bangla thinks today India thinks tomorrow.' Here they themselves make a distinction between Bangla and India.

When I say Bangla is de facto Bangladesh I am not wrong or exaggerating.

Actually one of the first mentions of Bangladesh was unearthed from Chola empire an inscription of Rajendra Chola ( subservient of present day india) his war and victory against the King of vangaldesha was mentioned.

All not in Sanskrit I bet (which you couldn't understand).

If you think it is wrong you may tell us the true story then.

Religion is not a topic for discussion here. @waz

Anyway, Prophet Muhammad is a human and will face Judgment day like all of us.Think whatever you want to think about him, If he is guilty of Breaking the Moral code of Islam Its upto him, I won't have to answer for that.

See...judgement day is something to do with faith again.

There is a reason why religion is not to be brought up for discussion in this forum....and you seem to be oblivious to it.

Why did I saying each day of the week being named after a Hindu god make you try attack the Hindu religion in some sad desperation? Just like your rashness in supporting ISIS I suppose. A very weak characteristic of yours I must say.

I for one can challenge every bit of the universe within Hinduism. The Vedas for example even challenges its own authority....that truth is something beyond even it.....and is the ultimate reality. (Look up Nasadiya Sukta)

But this is not the forum for that discussion regarding whether you can do the same for yours.

Since West Bengal is now officially called 'Bangla' I will call it Bangla.

It is for Indian Bengalis to choose who and what they identify as....it is not imposed on them by outsiders like yourself.

You should mind your own business rather than worry too much that we see the pejorative "Bangladeshi" as an insult.

Focus on making the substance of the pejorative untrue rather than blindly projecting what you think people's identities should forcibly be. We don't want to hear about it neither do we care about your opinion. India, of which West Bengal is a part of, has more important issues than to worry about what Bangladesh feels about Bengali identity. We certainly are not interested in visiting your country, not interested in what your original or reflcted/copied "culture" is....nor is it something we will be interested in in the near future....we are only interested in two things only, keeping SHW in power over there and making her accept the illegals from BD down the road.

You will only invite your own destruction if you keep projecting this concept of united Bengal on your terms. It wont happen. If it does happen it will be on our terms. The weak and small do not dictate terms to the strong and big.....they simply get crushed in the long term if they persist with that.

So I tell you again....mind your own business.

.
your nationality is a matter of great debate.

Says a Bangladeshi who had three different nationalities in the last 70 years. :)

I have found multiple online source of the same story, so there is no lack of credence

Open google and search for your prophet along with some very objectionable words, you will find "Multiple online sources", I hope you will accept that all those links have credence by your own standard of credibility. I could provide you links, but that's against the forum rules.
