India needs similar reforms that Japan, Korea and China implemented during their rise. It's the only way possible.
Japan had discipline within its society, which is why those reforms were relatively bloodless, though there were huge protests. It was also basically ruled by 1 party for most of its post-world war history making pushing through reforms and policies much more easily.
China literally took land from land owners and redistributed them, and invested heavily in creating an unrivaled manufacturing capability by displacing millions of people without their consent
Can India do the same?
India doesn't have the same level of societal discipline, and far too many political fault lines to do this.
Democracy in this case is a hindrance, and it creates to much in fighting.
And yet, unemployment is still at a record low.
Some people will always exploit then system, yet the US is still far ahead.
