Why would Japan jump in between China takeover of Taiwan?

Unless USN is plan on hitting industrial zones in China, China will pump military hardware faster than it’s will take US to ship supplies across Pacific Ocean. Which mean no matter the technological advantage, or percentage of US naval presence, Taiwan is indefensible.

I fired missile on Japan and US base in Japan on 2nd days after realising US will just use its ship to supply Taiwan, and there are no way I can blockade the entire Eastern Pacific. And by doing so, I dragged US and Japan to this war. The reason why I did this is I cannot finish off the Taiwanese if US keep sending their equipment to Taiwan, and they can literally just transport their stock from Japan (FIghter, Tanks and etc). Hitting Japan because I can't hit Hawaii or Guam, that will drag the entire NATO to the war, and hitting Japan mean they can't send anything to Taiwan because, well, we just hit them and not striking South Korea because bringing in ROKN would shift the balance on the Naval Battlefield..

Yes. But different than Iwo Jima Because this is Taiwan

If you read topological map, you will know the hill, unlike in Iwo Jima, is along the entire West Coast. which mean 2 things.

1.) You have command bunker lay out along the line can monitor and direct fire at Chinese beachhead when they land, at relative safety
2.) Artillery/SPG/MLRS positioned behind those ridges is hard to strike back, they can strike at the Chinese Beach head, but Chinese COUNT BAT would have hard time hitting target at a reverse slope.

In my game, at the beginning, the US supplies enough TOWED and Light Weight Artillery and Taiwan position them, along with what SPG they had toward those ridges, the thing is, the range between those ridges to the beachhead is within artillery range (around 40 mile) you can still countbat that, but later on, when US started supplying Taiwan with HIMARS and M270 (US supply both to Taiwan in our scenario), that pushes their rocket artillery toward the East Coast while striking target at the west coast, which put it out of my reach.

Any aggressive action with Chinese Navy trying to go that far east out of Missile and SAM umbrella result of the destruction of Chinese Fleet. In my game, I lost 2 Carrier going after the Combine US/JMSDF task force, and manage to sink a JMSDF Light Carrier, while the US fleet carrier stay out of range at around 1000 nm from Chinese coast, which mean if we move East, they can touch me and I can't touch them.
