Expand tax base, trade and reduce corruption. Achieve 7% growth for 10 years and stand on your own feet.

Its not a bad idea only after US stops seeing Pakistan as part of the problem and not as part of the solution. Till than we are back to square 1. Just like this one:

For once some one needs tell US to shut the hell up and shove those demands up where the sun does not shine. Pakistan has been saying for long that military solution is not the only solution and in the end it will be talks and negotiations that will bring a permanent peace. However both US and that pupped regime of Kabul does not wish to adhere to Pakistan's suggestion rather keep on blaming Pakistan.
US foreign policy on Pakistan is heavily influenced by India and this needs to stop, a condition Pakistan must put forward before we entertain anymore US officials.

Pakistan should keep engaging them, charge them very very high for services (which are almost free!)like transit, slap a surcharge of infrastructure(like 50 cents/km), charge them for over air traffic, dont provoke them and completely focus on its economical ties with rest of the world, ask for concessions for USA market..the key is not to ask for AID, learn from india, china...so why is this happening, its because of corrupt govt, who wants aid money to fund their pockets and usa doesnt care as long as it gets its job done

confrontation will never lead us to win, people think about iran, they shouldn't, iran has world largest oil and gas reserves and its doing poorly, look at china, did china won the trade war, ofcourse not it backed off, USA GDP is too big, it has too many resources, look at USA is center for world evey innovation, it has tolerable society towards immigration(where as we cant tolerate people within our country balochi-pathan -panjab delimma) we dont have oil, we need to focus on our poor people dying of hunger and sepsis in hospitals

Why does every exchange have to be about Afghanistan? Can't they ever talk about trade or normal relations talk.

I hope so much a non PPP non PMNL govt takes over and recalibrates foreign relations.

American relations with us have only been transactional. Remember how, after using us against Soviet Union - And we being foolish enough to agree to be used - the US just threw us away like a used tissue.

We can't possibly hope to have normal relations with the US because our alignments are exact opposite, in case of China for example.
