We need more corvettes and destroyers. Because in 10-15 years we won't be waving sticks at the debt ridden Greeks or corrupt and retarded Egyptian dictators. We will be playing chicken with superpowers

.
Looks like our Fleet will decrease in numbers.

From 10 Corvettes to 4.
From 16 Frigates to 8(+2).
From 18 Fast Assault Boats to 10(+x)

But numbers of Submarines will increase from 12 to 14(+x)

Our Navy will still outnumber the Fleets of regional rivals in Quality and Quantity, but i wish we could at least build more MILGEM Corvettes.

Tf-2000 will be a game changer destroyer that will cover a huge area on watch (500km radius) thanks to ÇAFRAD radar complex while national vertical launchers (48 to 64 tubes) of one Tf-2000 on full combat-ready mode will be able to carry bigger number of missiles than total number of Greek ready to fire SAM missile systems stationed on their mainland. The variety of national missiles/torpedos to be integrated on TF-2000 will be effective against not only aerial but also underwater and ground based targets from a very long range. To achieve such complex missions on sole platform, She will have one of the most modern gombat management syatem called Genesis AdVent and the national launchers will be equipped with;

-Hisar-A/O/U SAM family (double/quad packable options on some variants)
-Atmaca ship to ship missiles (~250km)
-Gezgin Land Attack cruise missiles (800+km and 1400km variants)
-Sapan RAM missiles
-Korkut-D CIWS
-Akya/Orka torpedos
-National Laser weapons and Rail guns

It is important to mention New Naval bases on many friendly states and one in the center of E.Med-Cyprus island to be equipped with national shore based anti-ship missiles/long range SAM’s will cover all square of needed zones with neccessary sensors and so Eight Tf-2000 along with smaller national frigates will be enough to deal with anybody who wants to mess with Turkey in E. Mediterranean.

As long as warships/missiles are designed/developed/constructed by national capabilities, today’s numbers don’t make much sense because when It is needed in accordance with changing stability, the construction of newer variants may come into agenda.

In near future, Turkey will introduce a new Ram-Jet powered anti-ship missile which will be a strategic weapon system against highly protected enemy strategic warships as well.

Overall, the military forecasting of DZKK is visionary bro. But an aircraft carrier (a ship which would actually fit the definition rather than make-up ones), I am pretty sure, is pressured by the government. In the near future or for the next 15 years at least, we definitely do not need one at all. Instead, an LHA similiar to that of US Navy's with quite larger hull and capacity would address our needs for next decades if LHDs would not meet the requirements. But a carrier would be a disaster. Everyone knows that such a ship would be sitting ducks in Aegean and Eastern Med. Greeks and Egyptians could easily arm their coasts and islands including southern Cyprus with cheap missile batteries and given the short distance, a salvo of missiles could easily render the aircraft carrier unable to sustain flight operations. And that is only the cheapest solution. No defense is unbreakable. And with a big white elephant like this, it will be a nightmare in Aegean and Eastern Med to sail this ship.

The only idea that comes to my mind is that, years later hopefully we might have oil rigs on seas, but still there are quite cheaper and more effective ways to protect these facilities, especially when you have the most powerful navy in Eastern Mediterranean.

Instead of spending $50 million dollars on a shipyard that is not likely to have any tenders for the next 5 years, the same money could be spend to arm the islands we have control over like the Greeks did and construct fortified air and naval bases in Cyprus. Or just increase the number of surface combatants fit for littoral water. Well, its quite scary when people involve in jobs that their practically have no professional opinion over. Allah affetsin ne diyelim devletin parası çarçur olmasın yeter, Türk Deniz Kuvvetleri mevcut tehditleri bertaraf etmeye müktedir vaziyettedir.

even only 8 Tf-2000 AAW Destroyers are enough to counter Egypt Greece Israel
but problem is no time to wait for 2035 , until 2023 everything will be happaned in the Eastern Mediterranean

if 1.000 of SOM-ATMACA-BORA Missiles to engage on their military and strategic targets ... bye bye Greece and Israel

Turkish Navy + Turkish Airforce + S400 and HISAR and SIPER Air Defense Systems can protect Turkish national interest in the Eastern Mediterranean

That is what I also believe for the benefits of our country but It seems President has some ambitious to see an aircraft carrier in the future of TN brother. With the money to be paid on an aircraft carrier, Naval shipyard can construct 3-4 addition Tf-2000 destroyers which is able to provide both defensive and striking operations instead of a flag ship aircraft carrier to be used for honour and pride symbol of TN on international waters. If TN underlines an aircraft carrier as a vital requirement to protect Turkish foreign bases then I am with that decision, but otherwise I will be just a big and costly asset.

Amphibious assault vehicle called ZAHA is under constructiın phase. 27 vehicles will be manufactured for each LHD platform.

Zaha will have Aselsan SARP RCWS with ATOM programmable 40mm munitions. Fire tests were completed successfully in Konya-Karapinar. The experience gained from ATOM 35mmammunition was used in the development process.

The system is being developed with the successful cooperation between MKEK and Aselsan.

It can be integrated to the existing 40mm grenade launchers after minor modification

Aselsan SARP capable of shooting 40mm ATOM ammunition

ATOM 40mm programmable ammunition is low cost and effective solution. The possibility for integration into the Aselsan IHTAR system also makes it perfect solution for air defense against small drones

I believe the Contract for second LHD called TCG Trakya will be signed in IDEF-2019.

Boss, could we see modifications to the design if TCG Trakya becomes a reality? As a example, Italies future LHD Trieste will have 2x8 Cells for Aster 15/30 and CAMM ER Missiles. Could we see national VLS be integrated into TCG Trakya together with Hisar-A/O and/or Siper? Seeing as how the ship would be let to water sometimes 2022-2023.

It will be a must brother. Such big and strategic naval assets carrying AAV, F35B, Atak-2, 10/12ton national utility helicopters and thousands of soldiers have to protect itself Even if some frigate group will be charged to protect them. A likely loss of such platforms will cause a nightmare to our country. I think TCG Trakya will be launched on sea with Roketsan VLS + Hisar/Siper missiles by 2023, Later TCG Anadolu will also be modified to same variant in Sedef shipyard.

. .
It is official now. Second LHD named TCG Trakya will follow the TCG Anadolu. Turkish Navy announced. This decision will dublicate the numbers of vehicles tobe produced for LHD. FNSS ZAHA AAV production (2x27), F35B (16x2), Naval Atak-2 and maybe Naval 12ton utility helicopters.

http://savunmasanayist.com/2019/02/14/deniz-kuvvetlerinden-tcg-trakya-aciklamasi/

TAI develops very special national helicopters for Navy and Land Forces which will have a MTOW around 12 tons and 6tons. Those helicopters will have special sensor and weapon payload to deal with surface and underwater threats. They will be the backbone of LHD fleet while F-35B fighters are sleeping in hangars...
