Turkey Ready for War with Syria

Friday, 7 October 2011

In case of necessity Turkey is prepared to break out war with Syria, said Ahmet Davutoglu, Turkey's foreign minister, newspaper Timeturk reported. Turkey is an independent state and makes by itself all decisions connected with the region, Davutoglu underscored.

According to Davutoglu, some countries say Turkey is acting in an agreement with the West, but it is wrong. The Turkish armed forces are holding exercises in the Hatay area bordering Syria. The exercises to end on Oct. 13 involve 730 military and 40 military vehicles.

The Syrian authorities have repeatedly concentrated the security forces in regions bordering Turkey due to exodus of the Syrians back after the riots. Syrian units, including tanks, were approaching the boundary line at a distance of 500 meters.

Some in Turkey argue that the Syrian troops conducted an operation in the border area to capture soldiers and deserters, trying to break in Turkey. The Turkish Foreign Ministry earlier expressed concern in connection with Syria's military operations near the border and warned about the dangers of the Syrian side of such actions.

Meanwhile, the total number of Syrian nationals who fled to Turkey reached 7,605. They are housed in five camps under the administration of the Turkish Red Crescent.

.
I dont think turkey will attack syria, since iran will get involved. and i dont see iran-turkey going to war with each other due to the increase in their relations.

. . . . . .
if assad is doing what saddam did against iran then turky got right an might to depose and posecute assad.and turkey is independant from the west because france and EU are against turkish membership of EU and US is supporting greece turkey arch enemy by giving them tanks for free and EU bailing themout economically

.
If assad supports the kurds then iran should personally put 10 bullets in his head..

Abdullah ojalan remained in syria until turky threatened bashar the criminal. Anyhow if iran gets involve in this conflic openly will harm itself before others coz the regims in syria is going down anyway

I hope turky to just arm the syrians and specially those soldiers who r not fighting their own ppl, NO NEED FOR TURKY TO GO FOR WAR

Syrian President: "Turkey Supplies Weapons to Rebels"

Friday, 7 October 2011

Turkey is supplying weapons to rebels, said the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, within the framework of the meeting with Republican People's Party CHP's deputy chairman Faruk Logoglu, Cumhuriyyet newspaper reported.

President Assad added that the U.S. opposes partnership between Turkey and Syria, and Turkey has represented the interests of Washington . According to Assad, it is incorrect that Turkey, which has not made amendments in the Constitution for thirty years, requires Syria to conduct wide-ranging reforms in three months' time. "Turkey defends Muslim Brothers of Syria, which is a threat to the secular rule of the country," said Assad.

Earlier, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey is preparing a package of sanctions against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad despite the UN Security Council did not accept a resolution on Syria. The Turkish armed forces are holding exercises in the Hatay area bordering Syria. The Syrian authorities have repeatedly concentrated the security forces in regions bordering Turkey due to exodus of the Syrians back after the riots. It is time for Turkey to claim it's old glory and influence back. We need to demonstrate to the world that Turkey is an independent nation who strives for peace and justice. If Assad continues to kill his own people, well Turkey has an obligation as the most powerful and most influential country in the Middle East to protect the civilians. The last decade has proved that Saudi Arabia and other Arabic countries are helpless, if they can't protect their Arabic brethren, well we will, as we always have!

Turkey is militarily, economically and influence wise the most powerful country in the Middle East. There is absolutely no doubt about that.
