Pakistan needs to place an order for atleast 1000 domestic Hamza 3x3 or 4x4 IFVs. Also 1000+ MRAPs need to be produced jointly with Turkey. I am afraid our generals are going to use soldiers as cannon fodder.

Miss the good old green-arrow defenders.
Are you serving in Portuguese Army or a ex -Pakistan Army service men ?
Best regards
a ex -Panzergrenadier
During my time I experinced an light (mostly foot) Infantry unit, and a very heavy Tank unit. In my opinion every time an army goes all-light or all-heavy it will be beated hard by the other extreme.Underestimating the Indian Army and their equipment and Soldiers through social media, makes us physical, not stronger, but more vulnerable, respecting and studying the enemy, will bring success and glory!
That's fine thank you for correction, do you also think that Pakistan Army should develop its light Infantry to a heavy strike Infantry like the Panzergrenadier, or the IDF mechanized Infantry?

The secreat is the mixture of forces to deal with all the possibilities of the changing battlefield.
You can ask to a known MIB CO present at this forum, how good are the changes of the Armoured Brigade (were he belongs) surviving a night raid in a urban/mountain/forest area at night, made by a Light Infantry Battalion eqquiped with good ATWs, well trained and well lead. His MIB will have to protect both the Tank Regiments and their arses.
In defence Pakistan Infantry Battalions on the border are dug-in, well supplied and covered by minefields and artillery. This makes a big price to the invader. You just have to keep the morale high.
Of course you allways have to make the usual counter-attack to low the presure and for that the 3rd Brigade in each Infantry Division should go Armour.
Thats my point of view
Regarding Mechanised Infantry, I am old-school. Get a good vehicle to move, but after arriving near the objectiv, dismount and do it like " Aufgaben für Zug und Kompanie "

Pakistan is not the darling of U.S i.e Israel. Pretty complicated relationship.Pakistan should work with USA on advanced weapons
Good to see you got your Professional tag.Ex Portuguese Army 2nd Sergent, branch equivalent to yours Eletrical & Mec Engineers.
I served in the 4th Cavalry Reg Santa Margarida M60A3TTS, presently Leo2A6NL and 1st Garrison Reg Angra do Heroismo in Azores (1st Infantry Battalion)

The "Toyota wars" show the lethality of ATGM equipped 4x4. These nimble, agile yet powerfully equipped 4x4 are good tank hunters.
M-113 (Tin can) catching fire through aluminum armor is a concern. In case of Pakistani Battle Taxi:
While the Battle Taxi has to save its own, and can only sporadically support with a 12.7mm for fire suppression (no gun shields or half open turrets for small arms fire protection, as you could notice from the Media material
I agree with all what you said, respeito
So arriving near the objective just with a 60mm mortar and RPG-7 is adequate for storm attack ?
My guess is, the Pakistani mechanized Infantry is not training to survive but, to fulfill their task, and dying is already accepted or calculated, may be that’s the real advantage over the Indians in which the Pakistani philosophy lies, I don’t know how steel made the Indian are.
I know it’s stupid question but with your western armies knowledge would be interesting to read a dosier, would be Interesting for other South Asian Members to, how you view the Pakistani Armoured and mechanized Brigades regarding training and equipment compared to your own (western art of war) and especially to the Indians. Would you say Pakistanis are equally or superior ?

Tanks are not equipped with ERA unless deployed because Walking on ERA is not the safest thing, ERA is explosive, if any mishap were to happen during transport or training it can cause damage to nearby objects and friendlies, hence it’s not equipped during peacetime. Tanks like the British challenger and the American abrams are also often seen without any ERA equipped when they’re not deployed, this doesn’t mean it can’t be equipped when needed. If you look at pictures of the production line of AKs or even some of the oldest photos of AKs you’ll see then fully equipped with ERA. Also, almost all of the newer AKs and now AK1s have visible mounting points on hull for ERA and are seen with either single ERA or double stacked ERA plates when deployed. These mounting points can be easily added to older AKs too.Hey red effect was correct there is no ERA for alkhalid original. Saw this here.
I remember back in 2001 that era bricks were provisioned for alkhalid original surprised they were not installed. I don’t see the bolts needed to install them.
You see this at the 1:45 minute mark when gen Bajwa is standing on the alkhalid
