What's new

Troops of Karachi Corps are practicing tactical drills as part of Exercise “Jidar-ul-Hadeed”

Pakistan and it’s armed forces need the best cost effective means of countering India, not the USA, this is kept in mind while making any sort of purchase or decision for the armed forces, there are obviously better, more expensive things we can buy than the ones we get, but if India doesn’t have anything as good or better, then why should we waste money on it when we can equip more troops with something that is good enough. It’s like, even if Pakistan had the option to buy say a squadron of F35s, it wouldn’t do it, it would instead buy 3 squadrons of JF-17s with the same money, because that’s more useful to us.

So if India doesn’t have these super advanced systems on the ground, we don’t need them, especially when we have so much to counter them already. we need what is good enough and we need to get it to more troops.

Secondly, a thing which many people fail to understand is that Pakistan will never, ever fight the entirety of the Indian armed forces. India can only use a portion of its armed forces against Pakistan at any given time due to China, while Pakistan can dedicate everything to India, having no other external threats, so the on ground situation will not have that much of an Indian numerical advantage, especially at the start of a war and especially right now that China-India tensions are high. The technological gap between India and Pakistan has closed fast, to the point where Pakistan is ahead in some cases and India in some, but we will never need to be 1:1 with them in numbers, especially when the average Indian soldier will not be as well equipped as an average Pakistani soldier.

Apache have a massive tech advantage proven since 1990 war in Iraq-Kuwait vs Tanks
Also India has got access to smart weaponry (bomblets) from US which self directs to Tanks /APC some of these were seen on second Iraq war.

India already has sufficient Tank Ratio in their favor

We need an upgrade for troops (assets) in future it is not Tank vs Tank on ground anymore

Troops are better off on mobile unit vs marching in Desert so we need mobile transports at Unit Level
Much more is needed to upgrade the infantry

a) Need Anti Air defense from Turkey , the Mobile Variant which moves with Tanks
b) Troops need their own rides , so less walking , and more supplies (Water / Food / Ammo) carrying
c) More Gunships Helicopters

The exercise in Desert is a good drill but we need improvements for the Units so we are not a world war 2 force

what’s you Business in real life ? Arms dealer ?

Bhai koi urdu ka naam rakha hota ... itna mushkil arbi naam ...

Pakistan's core value is Islam, Sunni Islam to be precise and so no matter what, Pakistan will always remain under a huge influence of Arab Culture and names, there is nothing wrong with it as our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW was an Arab.

TBH I have complete faith in our soldiers... but it is the generals and army leadership that I am concerned of.

Generals who have sold out Pakistan for their own wallets or generals who have sold out their own people to the the west for nothing.

The Type-59IIM Tanks seems to be a active part of mobile fire support platform for defensive positions and foot Infantry, backing flanks and lines behind the spearhead of the Alkhalids Tanks.

Infantry seems not to be equipped or following the doctrine of a Tactical Plate Carriers & Body Armor Systems for every Infantry men ( like Western Army’s). Positive to notice is the discipline and regularly outfitting of the ballistic Helmet for every Soldier. As it is discribed as a field exercise, observing from the little Videos Soldiers, are not carrying the fully tactical Infantry field equipment, like water bottle, grenades, rations, extra magazines etc. I mean something like that:

Stop comparing to USA, the nation of crooks and thieves call pak land should first pay taxes and be honest grow economy and then you can pay for everything for a common person first ans then soldier ;)

thankful for what exists

I think that the best option for sindh corps is to procure the AFT-10 anti tank systems which fires hj10. It can completely decimate tank concentrations ( it has 8 ready to fire missiles and takes only eights minutes to reload). What's more it also has a surface to air version called AKD-10.
The missile has an optical/imaging guidance system. It is a non-line of sight missile. It can lock on the target within the line of sight. Alternatively the operator locks on the target after the launch, using a real time image from the missile. Coupled with UAVs it can be very potent .First we should dive it to the V corps and then Gujranwala and Bahawlpur corps can be equipped with it

The Ground Units need to be reinforced with weaponry , which counters the Apache Helicopter Threat India has vs the old fashioned Tank vs Tank battles

Need some of these part of the Sindh Defence Corps

Most likely the Apache India has or other Helicopters they have would be a concern in future warfare

Need Less of Soldiers Walking , and More Mobility

I do admire the Soldiers Walking / Marching in middle of Desert , however we need to adopt to the needs for Current Battle Field

Sir the troops must have dismounted from APC otherwise there is no use of putting soldiers on foot in the desert especially if they are moving because usually dismounted troops are used for defensive ops or for supporting armour that too when the objective is near.

Perfectly , I was trying to finde something like that, how is the structure in the Pakistan Army, does the concept of Fire teams exist ? And which weapons are part of it, does it include sniper rifles and RPG-7 ?

question goes also to @PanzerKiel
They do exist...fire teams at tactical and sub tactical level, battlegroups at next higher level....Yes, they do include sniper rifles, RPGs, ATGMs, mortars....to name a few.

Mechanized troops fight on foot, M113 are used as battle taxis, if you try to take them near enemy defences, they will incur losses due to RPG and ATGM fire...one APC hit means a whole section gone.
