Pakistan and it’s armed forces need the best cost effective means of countering India, not the USA, this is kept in mind while making any sort of purchase or decision for the armed forces, there are obviously better, more expensive things we can buy than the ones we get, but if India doesn’t have anything as good or better, then why should we waste money on it when we can equip more troops with something that is good enough. It’s like, even if Pakistan had the option to buy say a squadron of F35s, it wouldn’t do it, it would instead buy 3 squadrons of JF-17s with the same money, because that’s more useful to us.
So if India doesn’t have these super advanced systems on the ground, we don’t need them, especially when we have so much to counter them already. we need what is good enough and we need to get it to more troops.
Secondly, a thing which many people fail to understand is that Pakistan will never, ever fight the entirety of the Indian armed forces. India can only use a portion of its armed forces against Pakistan at any given time due to China, while Pakistan can dedicate everything to India, having no other external threats, so the on ground situation will not have that much of an Indian numerical advantage, especially at the start of a war and especially right now that China-India tensions are high. The technological gap between India and Pakistan has closed fast, to the point where Pakistan is ahead in some cases and India in some, but we will never need to be 1:1 with them in numbers, especially when the average Indian soldier will not be as well equipped as an average Pakistani soldier.
