Like it was pointed out this discussion is a waste of time, people are doomed to reply in a way that will heat up the debate. I guess it doesn't really matter who is what no. if they are not a superpower like the US.

And if we have to think rational about it, I think it would be bad to have other super powers besides the US, even though they're behaving pretty stupidly on the issue of ME + Israel.

But that goes to show how bad it would be to have more than one of that kind.

conventional superiority is nothing if nuclear weapons are added in the equation in that scenario everyone loses not the leaders rather the innocent civilians of the country.

i find it quite surprising that you would place Japan Skorea and Brazil behind Pakistan the 3 former have better capable navies better economies/economic resources and a better defense industrial base



nonetheless they're technological edge is still there they can still make submarines,stealth aircraft, bombers, aircraft carriers frigates destroyers etc they have the ability to match whatever the US can make on a technological basis however only at a time after the US has already moved onto the next thing. Russia is in the final stages of finishing its 5th gen fighter whereas the US is already conducting studies and R&D on 6th generation fighters.

lol israel is no way no.10 , in 2023 maybe turkey can be higher up i think , we are surely in top 10 i think we are second largest army in nato , 3rd biggest airforce in nato and we are building a quite good navy (im dnt care about nukes at the time) we need more cruise missiles , ICBM , a few destroyers and an aircraft carrier and we need to throw away the f4s and use our f35 - in 2023 i think we should have in our air force new f16s , f35 , and whatever tfx program or the kfx one of those, in our army our altay tanks we building like 1000 , navy we need 1 aircraft carrier and like a few destroyers + milgem

^^ yeah i agree with you. Israel has a great force which is qualitatively very advance, but quantity counts as well.
For example theoratically Israel will not be able to last against India for long though it may have a technologically superior force with better trained soldiers cause they just dont have enough resources..
In a short war Israel can do better than most countries on the planet

I think the list was made on the basis of current military buildup where Pakistan definitely prevails over countries such as Brazil.

Most of their weapons were inheritated from USSR which are now eating the dust.

We don't really care to compare with them, we are just keeping our path for our own good.

Remember we have only USA when it comes to our mind, Russia is not even in our sight.

China's current GDP is 4 times larger(more when PPP is taken into account) and growing twice as quick as Russia's.

China beats Russia in destroyer/frigate design, AWACS technology and tank design.

They are about equal when it comes to ICBM's now.

Only areas where Russia has an advantage is engines, nuclear submarines and SAM.

But China has the momentum and can use it's far greater resources to catch-up in these areas by the end of this decade.

China only has the US in it's sights now.

Sir what r u talking about, even china knows in terms of tanks, missiles Russia is even ahead of US..
Yes the number of subs,frigates, destroyer r less but their airforce is new compared to china(as per my knowledge)..
Their SAMs r not only good they r best, as u might have heard news regarding china looking for Triumph..

China is now at least on par or greater than Russia in term of jet engine, Russia has slight advantage in the nuclear submarine.

However, China's anti-missile defence is mile ahead of Russia and on par with USA.

lol people are going to think i really love USA but nobody is even close to them yet which navy total tonnage is bigger then the next 11 navies combined(thats as far as i kniw) they have 11 aircraft carriers 3000+ aircraft only in their navy ONLYY IN THEIR NAVY tey have bloody 60 destroyers a defence budget of 700 billion ( now reduced to like 680 billion i think their defence industry is way ahead of any countries they have 71 submarines

My Opinion on Top 10 Armies is still

1, USA (No need for explaining do i?)
2, Russia (Weakining but still Largest Nuclear stockpile)
3, China (Uprising Super and Economic Power)
4, India (Same as China but faces MUCH more difficulties)
5, South Korea (Freaking Advanced Domestic Navy and Land Vehicles)
6, France (Hate to admit but they have nuclear Bombs and Advanced weaponry)
7, Turkey (Uprising regiona and Economical Power going fully Domestic on Military Weaponry )
8, Britain (Advanced Navy with AC and Powerfull Airforce with EF-2000)
9, Israel (You gotta give them credit)
10, Pakistan (Big army with Nuclear Weapons)

It is hard to quantify the list. The sure fact is that US can take the rest of the countries combined. Russian is no double the 2nd at this stage. For the rest I am not sure. Most list are number based. You have to consider economy, resource, wartime manufacturing capacity, battle experience, training, technology capability of a country, etc. Most people seems to ignore Japan, that I think it is a huge mistake. I'd rank it before even China. My list:

1. USA (No need to explain)
2. Russian (Still a giant, technology, experience, self-sufficient resource, huge land)
3. Japan/China/France/Britain/Israel (Hard to rank them, all able to produce advanced systems, depending on where the fight happens)
4. India (Big country, big economy, a bit behind the above tier in terms of indigenous production)
5 Turkey (Big economy, growing technical experience, etc)
6 South Korea/Pakistan (Indigenous industry)

mate japan has a law they cant attack countries as far as i know not being rascist but my freind japanese i asked him why dont japan get a very strong army there such a big economy he said after WW2 disaster we totaly rely on america we are allies nobody can do anything to us and he said they have a law which means they can only defend in a war---ALSO ISREAL 3RD?
