TurAF hit the SAM units of Syria 2 days ago. Those units were harassing Turkish Air force. Now they are neutralized by Turkish F16.

Bravo ,

Alpha Charlies hit

Engagement and Fire Control Radars (S-Band, X-band)

The SNR-75M3 Fan Song E is the last volume production variant of the S-75 Volkhov / SA-2 Guideline engagement radar. The exterior images were produced in 2000 by Miroslav Gyűrösi, at the Timisoara 2000 Air Show inRomania, and the interior images in 2009 at the Zsambek Museum in Hungary. They provide a close view of all of the key components of the radar system, including most radar vans and some supporting equipment.

The SNR-75 Fan Song family of radars was employed to provide target fine tracking and command link guidance for the S-75 / SA-2 Guideline SAM. The radar system is packaged in four vans, designated the:
  1. PV Cabin - radar head, transmitter and RF stages.
  2. UV Cabin - consoles / stations for commander, guidance officer and operators.
  3. AV Cabin - radar IF stages, MTI hardware, target and missile analogue tracking computers, uplink command generator, uplink transmitter.
  4. RV Cabin - diesel power generators and mains grid motor/generator power converter/conditioner.
Additional vans house engineering equipment to support the system, and often auxiliary generators were provided.

Not depicted is the RV van which is the central power supply for the missile battery, providing three phase 400 Hz utility electrical power. The RV van contains:
  1. Three 100 KW EZD-100 diesel electric 220V/400 Hz generators, each built around a tank engine.
  2. VPL-50 mains grid power converter/conditioners, each comprising a triple phase 380V/50Hz motor driving a triple phase 220V/400Hz alternator.
This arrangement permitted missile battery operation without external power, or operation using the local power grid, regardless of the quality of the local electrical grid.

All of these vans were towed, typically by a general purpose 6 x 6 ZiL or UrAL truck, although the tracked AT-S artillery tractor was often used in the Middle East in soft desert terrain.

The missile command post and guidance crew comprised:
  1. Fire Control Officer responsible for tactical assessments and launch decisions.
  2. Guidance Officer (Lt, Capt or Major) responsible for guiding the missiles during engagements.
  3. Three System Operators (NCOs) responsible for elevation and azimuth acquisition and tracking of the target and measuring range to target.

The V-750 is a two-stage missile consisting of a solid-fuel booster and a storable liquid-fuel upper stage, which burns red fuming nitric acid as the oxidizer and kerosene as the fuel. The booster fires for about 4–5 seconds and the main engine for about 22 seconds, by which time the missile is traveling at about Mach 3. The booster mounts four large, cropped-delta wingfins that have small control surfaces in their trailing edges to control roll. The upper stage has smaller cropped-deltas near the middle of the airframe, with a smaller set of control surfaces at the extreme rear and (in most models) much smaller fins on the nose.

The missiles are guided using radio control signals (sent on one of three channels) from the guidance computers at the site. The earlier S-75 models received their commands via two sets of four small antennas in front of the forward fins while the D model and later models used four much larger strip antennas running between the forward and middle fins. The guidance system at an S-75 site can handle only one target at a time, but it can direct three missiles against it. Additional missiles could be fired against the same target after one or more missiles of the first salvo had completed their run, freeing the radio channel.

The missile typically mounts a 195 kg (430 lb) fragmentation warhead, with proximity, contact, and command fusing. The warhead has a lethal radius of about 65 m (213 ft) at lower altitudes, but at higher altitudes the thinner atmosphere allows for a wider radius of up to 250 m (820 ft). The missile itself is accurate to about 75 m (246 ft), which explains why two were typically fired in a salvo. One version, the SA-2E, mounted a 295 kg (650 lb) nuclear warhead of an estimated 15 Kiloton yield or a conventional warhead of similar weight.

Typical range for the missile is about 45 km (28 mi), with a maximum altitude around 20,000 m (66,000 ft). The radar and guidance system imposed a fairly long short-range cutoff of about 500 to 1,000 m (1,600 to 3,300 ft), making them fairly safe for engagements at low level.

AMMESTY INTERNATIONAL HUMAN WATCH NGO

accused US-allied KURDISH YPG ( PKK Syria).
cause of extreme HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS. E.g. mass murder, raping, torture and forcing civilists to leave their HOMELAND in favour of KURDS !

Kobane was a SHOW like YEZIDES !

To attract sympathy and win allies to fight.

The WEST wanted to die locals !

That would not cause problems.
But if own soldiers instead would have killed they feared political problems in their countries !

That is fine acttually there are lots of events at syria and Turkiye border but nobody says anything. We allways **** esad and any group when ever we want, also there are some rumors regarding to Russian military. Everybody can expect that Turkey can enter syria as offically in close time.

''Election edges Turkey toward a civil war

In a parliamentary system like Turkey’s, 49 per cent of the popular vote gives you a comfortable majority of seats, and so Recep Tayyib Erdogan will rule Turkey for another four years. If it lasts that long.

There will still be a Turkey of some sort in four years’ time, of course, but it may no longer be a democracy, and it may not even have its current borders

...

But some of the Turkish Kurds will fight, and they will have the support of the Syrian Kurds just across the border. That will probably draw the Turkish army into invading northern Syria to crush the Kurds there — and once Turkey is fully involved in the Syrian civil war, all of southeastern Turkey (where Kurds are the majority) also becomes part of the combat zone.''

There are so many of these ''expert'' journalists talking out of their ***.

This idiot talks about Turkey supporting isis as if it were a fact.
Horrible article filled with wild accusations & outright lies.

+1

That's what they hope :) But it will never happen.

Well, I didn't post it to say 'hey, look how's that article?' I don't think he talks out of his a*s but somewhere, somebody else.
That is what Turkey fights, faces wild accusations and lies.
I can point a lot of b*stard in support of those lies and accusations for their own agenda also within borders of Turkey.
HDP is one of those for example talks about Turkey supporting ISIS 24/7, don't they?
What he claims ending his article? 'But some of the Turkish Kurds will fight', what Figen Yuksekdag said few days ago? ''Biz iktidardan razı değiliz. Yüzde 51 razı değil. Yüzde 51 çok şeydir, yüzde 11 çok şeydir. HDP'nin o çoğulcu demokratik anlayışını temsil eden kesimler olarak gücümüzün farkındayız.'' that pork looking article writer is a total sob.

There are also some whispers about 'General Election 2019' but I am sure they will not success anything.

Oh yes, hdp are not country loving people. I remember last year on november 10th demirtas send a message about the ''pontic genocide'' instead of commemorating Ataturk. They are terrorist lovers for sure.

Just to be clear, I was only talking about the journalist, not you.
Apart from that particular article, there are so damn many of these ridiculous articles about Turkey being on the brink of civil war BS.
