Sukhoi has crashed

Imran I don't know who you are or your name or face or clan or gender or age or education or profession.

But bhai after mast an khan you are the second person in this god forsaken forum I respect. I adore how easily you make these hate mongers and war mongers come to peace. With just a bit of humour.

I am sure you love your country as much if not more than anybody here. But patriotism is for irrational and ignorant fool. You set a good example

------------

These people on other side of border are same filled with patriotism without realising the real story. They are he'll bent on proving su30 was in iaf in 1990 if their theory allowed they might prove 1880.

But iaf pilot themselves say they need more exercise to be part of and better training.

Where India is lacking with lack of trainer aircraft.
But let it be , they just won't get it.

I do agree that there is a hole in IAF training. But when you talk about, Sukhoi 30 mki , pilots flew the plan over 250+ hrs which is as good as any western counter part. Among 5 incidents that have taken place till now, only one being reported as pilot error. So you are looking too much into IAF pilots training & flight hours.
When LCA gets inducted Iam sure Pilots will get more airtime which has decreased due to phasing out of Mig21 aka Flying Coffins.

No disrespect intended

On a Technical note , what was the reason of crash , I thought twin engines are more secure then single engine fighter jets as they can land even with 1 engine functioning

most probably a bird hit which caused both engines to flame out as incident happened shortly after take off.
Still waiting for IAF crash investigation report.

We should pay more rigorous attention in maintaining our jets to minimize the losses as much as possible. Hope everyone is safe in air and on land.

both ground staff and flying staff requires better training. If this goes on like this, then half of our sqdrns will be destroyed without any action.

one cannot blame russians for this. It is our duty to check it. One can only say inko udana nahi ata or maintain karna nahi ata.

I think they are going to empty the fleet like this only. Sare plane aise khatm kardenge.

Good that the pilots are safe but I seriously think there is something wrong with the training of our pilots.

I never questioned it when they were downing MiG 21s but they are now downing Sukhois and C-130Js as well.

Only one sukhoi crash happened due to pilot error. I think it is enough to clear ur doubts.
About C130 j crash, no further opinion from my side, but that being said, even USAF, USMc pilots also crashed the plan in numerous occations.

if it is a bird hit then only one engine would fail.
There were incedents in the past when twin engine fighters being hit by birds causing flame out. Also taking into equation recent engine related issues faced by IAF anything is possible.

They have ample of aircrafts to crash, we dn't sir. IAF needs to be revized. Neither our squanders are so big still unable to maintain.

But I don't think, MKI type of aircraft would be so vulnerable to a bird hit.

Sukhoi crash caused by pilot error | StratPost

@Screambowl
Crashes are unavoidable mate, anything that flies do crashes even with a little snag. Even Rafale & Eurofighters crashed 5/6 times each in previous years.
Sukhoi is vonerable to bird hit, that being said it is less likely.

Agree, well hopefully, they do more for avoiding crashes. India cannot afford losing planes and pilots. Our economy is also not so great that we can replace it within few months. Neither can bring a new pilot in few days for that.

$hit happens. The IAF is not some two bit AF, they are a high tempo, high intensity fighting force who push their men and machines to the limit- the number of flight hours (in excess of 250) MKI pilots fly on their bird each year are amongst the most any fighter jock flies anywhere in the world.

Yes there may be particular lessons to learn and be applied in this case but let's all keep in mind that flying these fighter jets is an extremely, and inherently, dangerous task and risks will always be involved so let's not get carried away by such losses.

That would have been fine if it wasn't for the IAF habit of blaming others for everything that is wrong. Eg. DRDO, HAL, CEMILA, MoD, GoI, Russia, Mig 21, LCA, ADA ...............It is everybody's fault except their own.

Those who blame others rarely see their own shortfalls and correct it.

I am waiting for the day when IAF flies the LCA, crashes it and blames DRDO/ADA/HAL for making a lousy plane.

Don't worry, it will happen. Just a matter of time.

There are snags exist in IAF training, with induction of lca the flight hours of our pilots will be resorted I hope.
