Russia to buy one of Iranian drones technology

Speculations on Iranian forums say it's either Fotros or S-129 .

Fotros is more likely as it enjoys more powerful engine and higher range .

I hope it's given to them as a part of a deal that incorporates Iran getting the Su-30 SM technology in return

Russia has similar drones to Fotros , although its not a UCAV

I am thinking since MIG is developing new Skat UCAV , it will be RQ-170
although they are not in the same class , the stealth features of RQ-170 could be a big help regarding the development of Skat

which one are like fotros ? please do some research before saying sth . Russia has a long way to go before even coming close to where Iran is today . we've been working on UCAVs since 1980 .

the only promising russian project was Mig-skat which is a discontinued project due to many failures .

currently sukhoi is developing the same project into sth totally different and God knows when it will be ready and what kind of a performance it will have . first tries are always shitty .

Iran is not stupid . we're not giving RQ's tech to anyone .

The UAV I am talking about is Forpost , recently shot down over Ukraine
Like I said , it's not a UCAV but in terms of size and specifications its similar to Iranian UAV

That uav seems too bulky , while fotros is a little sleeker and it look somewhat smaller .also it seems dont have any place for satcom.

Russians severely after Iranian long-range drone tech

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri made the remark on Sunday during the ceremony of the new academic year for Iran’s Supreme National Defense University. While commemorating the Sacred Defense Week, which marks the 36th anniversary of the eight-year Iraqi war on Iran, he said “the Sacred Defense, aside from its more obvious aspects such as the acts of heroism and sacrifices, was also pivotal in the production of modern science and technology for future use.”

He went on to stress the role of wars in the production of various fields of science, adding “today, the anti-terrorist operations in Iraq and Syria can also lead to the production of science and technology.”

“today drones with long-ranges which can successfully Identify and target positions with a surface of one meter square, such sciences are in the monopoly of one or two countries, Americans have it and probably Zionist regime has it by the help of Americans, and we haven't seen anywhere else with such an accuracy. This science is in the possession of Iranian armed forces." he said

"Russians too are severely looking for our help to achieve the science of these long range drones." he added

you only need to ask your friends in Syria they can verify it for you, they are been at receiving end of it

Yes, you,re right.. but in non-military science and tech it is already happening... Just recently Iran transferred the technology of some new medicines to Russia...

Production line of Iranian drug opens in Russia

Moscow, Sept 28, IRNA - Iran's Minister of Health and Medical Education Hassan Hashemi opened the production line of a newly-made Iranian drug, Fingolimod, used for multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment on Wednesday in Russia.

By opening the production line, Iran is fulfilling parts of earlier agreements to transfer Iran's technology of producing the material needed for making the drug to the Russian side.

Now the indigenous Iranian raw material needed for Fingolimod which enjoys highest global standards in production would be available in the Russian and other world markets.

Hashemi, who arrived in Saint Petersburg on Wednesday morning, is due to hold talks with his Russian counterpart and sign a number of documents with the Russian side including 15 protocols on bilateral cooperation.
