Can someone tell me the range of the age of posters in this bangladeshi forum. The title was so amazing, good discussion could've taken place. But my surprise, bangladeshis themselves with indians misguided the whole discussion from the topic. Shame! Tripura already a became a bengali majority when huge outflow of Bengali Hindus
were made during the War(1947-71). They never came back.

I thought they would be in West Bengal. Anyhow, I do not think Hindu would support anything that will serve the interest of Islamic Bangladesh.

So if a bend over pimp government could not please India then why should anti-Indian party led by Begum Zia would care about good relation with selfish and arrogant India. Bangladesh will be very close with Islamic world and China when Begum Zia's party comes in power about two years from now, Insh'Allah.

We have more than enough water from rain and rivers in the wet season. We really have to build barrage and reservoirs to hold that water for the dry season, else you have to depend on the Indians. We all know how that has been working out.

Most of them were sent back and obviously some escaped. Moreover the illegeal migrant population increased recently due to steady inflows. But thanks to affirmative action of the BSF it has now reduced to a great extent. Now they are not in numbers to present any significant threat to Indian sovereignty. If and when they start being one, action will be taken. Be assured of that.

You hit the nail on the head.This is why almost every single thread on an Indian-bangladeshi issue quickly becomes a garbage dump. It is almost as if some posters have limited knowledge/agenda & don't want to step out of their comfort zone. No one who was on this thread received/imparted any light on the subject itself, all they said was what everyone knows already -that they hate so & so. One of the reasons that I almost never get involved in any discussion on such threads, simply a waste of time.

Its' rather like, easterns went eastward and westerns went westward
and after all this years I'm sure they've populated , representing a
significant demographics.

The problem lies in the fact that significant amount of people in BD
has forefathers who migrated from elsewhere. Personally I know atleast
4 people with assamese/tripura background but no one cares.


While in India it seems rather different with the locals not accepting
immigrants. If I'm not wrong you're from Sylhet/Moulovibazaar and
I'm sure you'd find some of your relatives elsewhere .

Then what we are?? We are Sylheti in Bangladesh and Sylhet belongs to Bangladesh. Sylheti is a bengali dialect and no way closer to Assamese.
