PM Hasina plans to build aircraft in the country

Generally speaking, those from the first wave in the 70’s and 80’s are doing GREAT.

Those that came to the US at that time were generally educated. Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacists, Engineers etc.

In the mid 90’s up till now, not so much.

I don’t have stats to back this up, but anecdotally from my personal life, Bengalis are doing extremely well.

US census data disagrees with you. The 1st wave was doing OK (not great)...definitely not bottom 10% percentile like the entire BD average is now....has more to do with the much lower numbers trickling in back then. Once you open the gate more, the riff raff (of more typical BD people) has come in and stunted your performance....as can be found in all waves in the UK.

Bangladeshis are incredibly intelligent and resourceful. But laziness is a vice for sure.

Bangladeshis are doing extremely badly...and intelligence and resourcefulness is the exception, not the norm. No one cares about personal stories when we are talking about a macro-entity. I mean I can highlight successful Bangladeshis I personally know and the atrocious bad ones too....but I dont have the overall larger vantage point, thats where a census comes in...and it is plain as day to see how Bangladeshis perform even in the US (which is probably the country they do best in, as atrociously as it is):

Add on top the laziness (probably from too much rice consumption) and its no surprise Bangladeshis have atrocious health and diabetes (1 out of 3) affliction as well:

The socioeconomic performance in the UK is even worse. It can be posted next if you want to see it.

Now to the video. Don’t cherry pick with time stamping. Watch the whole thing.

From the tone beginning to end this production was skewed to be pro India and anti Pakistan.

That being said, listen to the answers of the people.

Some are pretty insightful for a layman.

And as for immediately 2:42 onward, understand who is saying what. All sorts of opinions exist in BD.

Those people happen to be pro-Indian.

Point to one that said Indians are more lazy and less industrious than Bangladeshis. That was the specific thing that bluesky picked up on. You are the one expanding to other opinions and comparisons that have nothing to do with BD potential of a potential of paper plane industry.

Where work ethic comes up in the video, India is mentioned as better than Bangladesh (I believe twice). I couldn't care less what Bangladeshis think about India socially or politically....given what they are and always will be...and the permanent complex of lieing and sheer deluded groupthink.

They can hand over the hard earned coin and hard won political control to us in ongoing payment (that we define) for liberation...and that is all that really matters. We dont expect or want anything else.

Final point.

As time goes on, what I seeing is that if India keeps up its shenanigans, more and more Bengalis are waking up to that fact.

Again on an anecdotal level, people who were personally affected by the Liberation War and harbored hatred towards Pakistan have softened their stances considerably in the present day.

They are recognizing that the Muslims of South Asia need a strong Pakistan.

And maybe India isn’t such a great big brother.

Is that the best you got? LOL. Bangladesh is a cork bobbing up and down on its own effluent that everyone more or less ignores geopolitically. A banana republic basket case backwater ...euphemistically assigned "LDC". Only country in the world where 1 million people can be shoved into in matter of a few weeks and the best it can respond are tears and fist shaking.

Nobody wants your "support", its proven toxic with very long historic experience. Plenty of Pakistanis here and elsewhere say Bangladeshis are backstabbing #$#%'s that will only harm Pakistan (or any country basically) with its fake feelz support. Nowadays Myanmarese agree and Indians increasingly agree....and you can even add plenty of Chinese too (because of the BD twit feelz against Myanmar main benefactor).

Keep it to yourself and invest in more pilkhanas when you arent busy worshipping the fat dopey lady that we put there....and the grander 3 million paranoia hoax. How many countries were established on a complete utter lie after all?...and protected to this day even when shown (and pretty much secretly admits the error of magnitude but wont change it because of loss of face)? Bangladesh must be the only one. Quite fitting given the quality and nature of its people.

She doesn't even flinch while saying all that. She is a natural like her father. Wonder when there will be Intergalactic travel !!

On a more serious note - how tough could making aircraft be? Pakistanis started by assembling SAAB trainers (Mushshaque?). Indians started by assembling US built trainers, ag-sprayers and general aviation aircraft in the late forties (Pushpak etc.).

For Bangladesh it has never been a priority - even for overhauls and D-checks. I guess it now is.

Just for comparison - people in the US and Europe build these things in their garages out of hobby pleasure. That's the fastest ultralight, a VL3.

I'm not really sure what your agenda is.

That being said, I'm too busy to pick through each point you've made.

But overall, A LOT of crap in that post.

I will be a bit more specific if and when I get the time.

Cheers.

Don’t pay attention to the crap of this troll. Significant of the Bangladeshis along with their family came in 1990s and 2000s with dv lottery. Where many were just HSC pass or BA/BSc pass only and the degree is not recognized in USA. As a result many had to do blue color job and in many cases with cash which they don’t declare on income tax. As a result income is low compared to other community. However they are educating their children. They will do much better.

For Indians it is high due to abuse of the H1B visa. For 2 decades or more huge number of Indians came with ready made job and their wife has so far been allowed to work under H4B visa. As trump is putting an stop to H4B visa and will restrict H1b visa in 2 year we will see how much average Indian makes. It will drop to 60-70k from 100k+.

Oh yes believe me I know that for a fact. I grew up in the NYC area and have seen with my own eyes the influx of the uneducated Bengalis taking up any jobs to survive. On demographic metrics they reflect poorly.

What isn't seen are the fruits of their labor which is their children. Many of which are now well educated members of American society holding on to well paying positions and poised to make a better life for themselves as well as contribute to American society.

@Nilgiri has a very bad habit of writing long and clueless, sometimes out of context. I request him to make his writing precise for people to understand the contents.

That’s what my point was. When first generation of people come they have no backup. Their first priority is survival. That’s what they did. Now not only second generation are getting educated but lots of community effort are there to create better opportunities for Bangladeshi community.

Look who we have here..
Savages supporter!

Dumbo, this is the start of the BD aviation industry and the first plane will be a propeller drivedriven trainer.
BD knows it will take at least half a century of effort before it gets anywhere in aviation.
Bold parts: What kind of English are you using here? You can improve your savage English if you study the compositions of Poet John Milton. But, do you know about him or his compositions?

And what kind of blabbering is this propeller plane? Instead of this how about building an engineless cardboard plane for you to ride over Dhaka? Propeller one is available since wright brothers in 1903, why Hasina needs another?

Perhaps, you have not read even the poem by Rabindranath Thakur, "Juta Abishkar". Please read it and refine your shallow knowledge. Do you guys want to invent shoes?

Well do u deny that Bangladesh is more digital than it was in 2010? Export earnings from IT were $120m in 2017 compared to $56m 5 years previously.

Internet is faster and more broadly available - even Google says there are 40m internet users in BD today. Considering how much of the population are children and elderly that is an excellent access rate. I can video call people in my village today, whom I struggled to even phone 7 years ago.

Internet access and internet business has more than doubled in 5 years, what more were you expecting? Robot rickshaws? The ideas you have about progress are unreal.

These statements made by PMs are broad visions and are not meant to happen overnight. The conservatives promised to cut immigration in the UK in 2010, guess what? We are no where close but it is a statement of intent.

Actually electricity and internet sector is the real development of government now.
As I am using 5 mbps fiber optic connection now and price is only 800/month and download is unlimited .
Highest Internet speed in my area is 20 mbps and 2000 tk monthly .
It was even UN believable before one years. But I guess other big towns were under such fast Internet since 2/3 years or more? Not sure.
And yes if we have fast Internet so lots of us can earn good amount of money from online free lancing market places .
That's a great job of govt alongside electricity no doubt.

What you expect but they have habbit of copying pak procurment thunder should never be sold to indian puppets

BAF rejected Thunder due to performance reasons.

Next fighter for BAF will be a customised version of J-10 that would be comparable to J-10C, which is one of the best 4th gen fighters out there.

It will make me happy if a functional garbage disposal system is created throughout the country. I do not care about Hasina's big talking jet plane project. Clean roads, rainwater and sewerage discharge system, and a garbage disposal system are important for people to claim they are living in a civilzed country.
Preach brother!!! :)

You just do not know the correct definition of the internet use. BD people use mostly the mobile internet phones and not the WiMax or ISP+PSTN in their houses or offices with the help of computers. These two together is only 5.433 million in BD. The number of mobile internet users are not counted in other countries. But, BD brats like you love to inflate the figure.

Please learn the basics before you again talk big. It only shows your ignorance. When the internet user throughout the world is about 40% of the population, you guys are jumping with a false data of 50% use. Read below to broaden your knowledge.

Internet Users
3,979,503,612
Internet users in the world

Around 40% of the world population has an internet connection today. In 1995, it was less than 1%.
