PM Hasina plans to build aircraft in the country

Bangladesh can start from cooperating with Indonesia. We have N 219 that has good potential. I bet you can manufacture N 219 as well if buying around 100 plane. Cooperating with Boeing and Airbus is the next level that Bangladesh can do to be part of global supply chain.

Bangladesh can follow Indonesian path or Malaysian path. For Malaysian path, they only can produce part and become part of global supply chain, it is easier. If Bangladesh want to follow Indonesian part so they need to grow design expertise and design an aircraft from scratch. I think Bangladesh can do it if government has a will but the most important thing is whether Bangladesh has huge domestic demand or not ? If domestic demand is not huge so better to follow Malaysian path.

Talking about bringing back our engineers working abroad is a matter of government will. I think it can be done just like how Indonesia bring back BJ Habibie from German to Indonesia. Just like how BJ Habibie can bring back Indonesian engineers working abroad to design R 80. Just like Indonesian government can bring back some engineers working abroad for KFX/IFX program. There should be a project going on.

And also dont forget to add Aerospace faculty into your top university.Indonesia has ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology) for instant.

There was a picture some time back of some Bangladeshis officials from the Air Force I think? With their Indonesian counterparts.

They really seemed like they liked each other. Like genuiniely.

InshAllah, Bangladesh will cooperate with Indonesia further.
