Pakistani man wins right to change religion from Islam to Judaism

There is no compulsion in religion.
Embrace-islam.jpg

We don have problems with Judaism as a religion. We have problems with atrocities which Isreali jews are commiting on poor innocent cvilians

.
Secondly non-muslims do not have the right to propagate their religion to Muslims in Pakistan.

Why so??? Muslims allowed to propagate Islam to non Muslims but not other way round.

hypocrisy

you guys want your Mosque / preach your belief in other country (Canada/ UK / Europe) but when it comes to your lands rules change.

You want a liberal society when you move outside (a society which allows you to preach Islam to others) but when it comes you your nation rules change.

You agree to the notion quoted above that Minorities donot have right to preach/ propagate their religion, then why you do the same in Canada/ UK/ other nations

Dont care about his religion (his personal choice and none of my business), but if you follow news or google him, you will find him to be rather mentally disturbed.

As for apostasy, no Quranic prespective on it.. while various schools of thoughts lead by scholars have their own "verdicts" on the issue.

Well he didn't change his religion but he ask to make a correction in his CNIC Smart Card.

Here the thread title says otherwise and it is totally misleading. @Horus @Manticore

A person has right to follow his choice in religion.

Regarding the death penalty for Apostasy, I don't have adequate knowledge.

.
So he was born a Jew, and got registered as Muslim. Now just wants to correct his religion.

No bigge :D

All Abrogated by 9:5, yes? ("slay the pagans wherever you find them -", etc. etc.)
Tsk tsk you seriously have no shame do you? you intentionally quoted it out of context to spread mis information and hate against Islam and Quran.

"Conclusion:

We have examined the historical and the scholarly side related to chapter 9 (specifically 9:5), there is one conclusion that can be drawn: Chapter 9, verse 5 was meant to be defensive. In the sense, that it was revealed concerning the pagan Arabs who broke the treaty and fought the Muslims (Khuza’a). Prophet Muhammed (p) did not fight them for their beliefs, rather for breaking the treaty and killing Banu Khuza’a’s people.

As shown, the true Islam, real Islam which was practised by Prophet Muhammed (p) was to repel evil and the brutality of Quraysh."

Why argue with me rather than Muslims who screech that they are attacking parliaments (Turkey, U.K.), attacking schools (Pakistan), teaching little boys to slit throats (ISIS), and knifing, shooting, and blowing up civilians (Israel, the U.S.) because they are "defending" Muslims and/or Islam?
A very weak (and pathetic) attempt to divert the topic why don't you just admit that you deliberately quoted that verses out of context just to malign Islam and Quran just apologize and move on is it really that hard for you?

Because you are intellectually dishonest.

As for the individuals and groups committing the atrocities you mentioned. Of course, there is no basis for those acts in Islam. However, people will be people regardless of the religion they claim to practice. Ultimately, their judgement and all of ours for that matter is with G-d.

You assume I know too much: I knew nothing of these counter-arguments until you quoted them. Nevertheless, the reality is that a very great deal of attacks upon Muslims and non-Muslims are characterized by the perpetrators as "defensive". Perhaps nothing stands in in an American's mind more than Osama bin Laden's call after 9-11 for Muslims to unite because "Islam is under attack".

There is no weaker argument for failing to confront tyranny than this.

Is it safe to say that our ancestors a few centuries ago were Buddhists or Hindus? Until the arab invaders came to the subcontinent and introduced Islam. So, he embraced the religion of the ancestors many centuries after.

Again another attempt to divert topic.

You knew it or you never bothered to know it? or you probably were afraid to know the truth because than maybe maybe your conscience wouldn't allow you to lie and spread false propaganda?

So is that fault of Quran that terrorists and people like you always quotes verses out of context that fits your and theirs propaganda? there's really no difference between you and them you both are doing the same thing maligning Islam.

OBL was your hero when he was using Islam to unite people against your enemies perhaps you should've been more careful in the past.

I don't hear a generous apology from you. It would cost you nothing, yet go some way to establishing good feeling.

Although I do consider it fair game to raise questions about Islamic religious observance I don't consider it my place, as a non-Muslim, to declare or determine what proper religious observance for a Muslim is. Therefore I judge by empirical observations in real context, not by some religious doctrine, and certainly not by a warped view of reality or subscriptions to falsehoods.

OBL was your hero when he was using Islam to unite people against your enemies perhaps you should've been more careful in the past.
Including falsehoods like this one.

Just because an opinion is popular - even an opinion shared by 200 million people - doesn't make that opinion a fact.

It's you who need to apologize for spreading false propaganda and trying to spread hatred against Islam. You're very conveniently trying to divert topic and i ain't gonna fall into that trap so admit and apologize that you deliberately quoted a verse from Quran (out of context in post#67) just to spread false propaganda and tried to spread mis-information or i will report you. :)

.
Sure, it's just taken him years of effort during which he suffered insult, physical abuse, ugly treatment by government officials, and time in jail, all while putting up with self-satisfied smiles from fellow Pakistanis.

Go cry me a river.

It'd take Bureaucratic annoyingness over trapping populations of innocent children, women, and old in an open air prison and then dropping sulphuric bombs on them and burning them alive.

But oh well that's just me...

I am talking Muslims; you are talking Islam.
You're very conveniently trying to divert topic -
Note that I am not the member who introduced the Qu'ran into the thread.

...Terrorist is someone who kill innocent people. If we look at real definition of terrorist then Israel is no 1 terrorist state . let me spell it right Israel Isreal terrorist

Apparently you three have decided that the points I brought up about Pakistani conduct regarding the Pakistani Jew here are incontestable and so have diverted the topic into religious dogma and that favorite escape, anti-Zionism. Neither of which are relevant, since the issues are Pakistan's laws and the personal conduct of Pakistanis themselves.
