Bro that's not right. The growth from the previous census in-line with the fertility rate has the population at around 227-229 million.
This massive young population needs to be educated and have opportunities in order to become the population dividend that's spoken about.

I think Pakistan should be compared with Indonesia's economy.

Since we both have the largest Muslim populations in the Ummah.

Indonesia spends far more on education and supply side policies such as investment in industry and building infrastructure.
Pakistan has been on the decline in all the mentioned areas and is ruled by a cabal which doesn't facilitate such actions.

I don't think we are a trillion dollar economy yet in nominal terms. Also that 350 billion is also misleading as our real GDP is double that at 700 billion USD.

700/230= 3000 USD per capita.

What is more sad is that our government is missing out on 100 billion USD in tax revenue since we have not rebased our GDP properly and dysfunctional tax system.

Imagine 100 billion USD being spend every year on education, health care, infrastructure, Research & Development etc. It would do wonders for Pakistan.

Genius, in your own source of "wikipedia" it is a 2021 GDP Estimate.

Entire devaluation of your curency has happened post 2021, thus your GDP is $ has contracted.

If it was estimated at 347 in 2021 it will be less than 300 by now.

The only thing that has increased is your population & Inflation making your GDP Per Capita further going down.

Good to see that India has stopped figuring in every thread.

Pakistan needs extensive industrialization to overcome this economic mess which its facing, unfortunately they are clueless about the causes of this mess and leaderless to guide it in right direction.

Your observation regarding devaluation of PKR and Inflation which is in high double digits, will surely drag the real GDP by more than 20 percent.

Its high time that China start investing aggressively in CPEC which is Pakistan's only hope.
