Alhamdullilah we are doing okay.

Look at China. With China's sheer large population they are able to have a large economy.

Insh'Allah the same will be for Pakistan.

A large population is only beneficial if majority is educated and there is some semblance of law and order meaning a society where its best stay and contribute and not go to green pastures overseas.

A large population for Pakistan is nothing more than a heavy burden. We are running out of water at an alarming rate.

The way I look at is

Pakistan due to Mismanagement , can't control $350 Billion Dollars annually
It wastes it and can't track it's own money

Examples

1- Buying expensive Oil instead of buying from Iran , Russia , Venezuela country to country discounts

2- Not finishing Iran-Pakistan gas line in 2014 would have yielded cheaper gas

3- Not investing more in Tidal Electricity by Karachi sea

4- Army of Motor cycles which drink up Petrol instead of Network of Buses

5- Not Opening free trade with Iran

6- Lack of Solar Energy farms in Balochistan

7- Not having Storage Depot for Oil to store 1 year supply


$350 Billion comes in left hand and then from right hand we give it back to others



The reason why all these actions were not taken is due to Stunted growth Syndrome it is 100% correct the people running the show have Stunted growth

There are no 350 Billion dollars my brother. We only get to spend 50 Billion per year. 15 Billion goes for Defence and 25 Billion of the reamining 35 Billion go towards servicing the debt.

We only get to spend around 10 Billion per year to run the country.

Sindh Budget was close to 8-10 Billion Dollar Range
Punjab gets around 12-14 Billion Dollar Range
KPK gets also around 6-7 Billion Dollar Range
Baluchistan gets 6-7 Billion Dollar Range (Due to CPEC getting CPEC project funds as well)

Military : 7-8 Billion Dollar for only 1 Million Soldiers (500,000 active , and 600,000 reserve)

I don't understand why Currency Devaluation was done ?

Should have Reduced 1 Billion from Every Province = 4 Billion Surplus

Should have reduced 7 Billion from Army , 7 Billion Surplus all soldiers sit at Barracks and do physical training


That is 13 Billion USD in Surplus , and the fund should have been used to pay Massive downpayment on Loans in 1 year

Pakistan is clearly run by some idiots begging around like Bhikari from IMF for 1 Billion
by Devaluating currency , the Loan needed to be returned is increased x4 Times



Our Federal Reserve got destroyed from 27 Billion to 15 Billion and falling in 3 months Since April due to incompetent Leadership


We could have had 27 Billion USD reserves , and with Adjusted budget a 13 Billion Surplus like I explained to pay off the Loans had there been any logic used by folks at top instead of them signing signatures on documents

The fact that Pakistan still has not rebased it's GDP shows what kind of banana republic Pakistan is.

Nigeria rebased it's GDP in 2014. They found out that their economy was actually 60% larger than what reported. Went from 270 billion USD to 510 billion USD.

A correction the GDP is 383 billion not 350 billion as per Wikipedia. I would be surprised if our nominal GDP is close to 700 billion USD and PPP GDP close to 2 trillion USD.

You could be right about the $383 billion dollar figure.

In 90's Pakistani politicians distracted people of Pakistan and developed a very common narrative of today "India is 7 times larger and we cannot compete with them". This narrative is one of the reason Pakistani people mindset now have inferior image of Pakistan. Today pakistan is compared to Bangladesh.

With what's going on and how politicians and corrupt bajwa is trying to develop another narrative of superior India, it won't be too long when pakistan will be comparable to Afghanistan and Somalia not Bangladesh. Bangladesh have done pretty well in keeping population under control, exporting Bangladeshi diaspora worldwide, hanging political opponents, advertising democracy which is fake from the core but enough to fool the west, and having entire population to work including women. In Pakistan half of population which is women sits home while out of other half which is male only 25 percent wants to work, rest want free money but massive imports. Don't wanna sound pessimistic but pakistan ka Allah hi hafiz hai until there is a revolution French or Turkish style.

Actually I want Pakistan to have a very large population.

Already dwindling water supplies, shortages bcz of excess usage + waste.. & a lot of ppl to provide them water (Big Population),Soon we will be fighting for water... destruction of Agri land, a big population but less opportunities, a lot of poor to feed -__-

big families but half of them unemployed or working on low paying jobs 0_0

look at Israel (5m population) but GDP is same as Pakistan (209 million ppl), Australia (30m population), new Zealand, Canada (32+ million) , European countries all of them have 2,3,5 times the size GDP & 8× GDP per Capita+ highest standards of living+ govt can feed them + provide all sorts of facilities bcz they don't have a lot of mouths to feed...

On the other hand we have a lot of Agri land (most of them getting destroyed for housing societies) but still we've to import lots of basic things like onions,tamatar even though we produce a lot of them bcz we've too many ppl

Less ppl the better you can take care of them & u can provide them a good education + opportunities & less problems you've to deal with..
