Here is latest from war front..

Well.....success of this operation is depend on US urgent unconditional support...Hope US congress men don't waste time in hearing committees ...Instead take urgent measures....

they'd still like things to work out on their terms. they dont want pakistan to dictate terms to them; that'll make em look weak. keeping strings attached to military aid or sales to pakistan ensures that the Pak govt will keep licking the boots of the US govt...

it had not mention apache in statement and why this ............ rehman dont tell which helicopter they are and in that interview he mantioned it will be give to ministry of interrior and interrior ministry dont operate apache i think bell buey they will give

Purchase of large number of aircarft will only create string of problems. Any aircarft induction is to be spread over the years. The time is utilized for training of pilots, technical crew, development and expanding of aircarft parking, hanger facilities, construction of maintenance sheds, expansion, addition of taxiways, tarmec etc. so by the time aircarft start arriving, there are pilots to fly, crew to maintain, hangers for safe parking and all necessary facilities on airfield(s), so that smooth operations of flying are conducted.

Induction of aircarft are spread over 3-5 years, based on numbers (more then 20 aircarft). Its always better to have more number of aircarft of less variety then having more variety of aircarft, with each having less numbers. For each role/task, there has to be only one specific type of aircarft. Then there are multi role types, whose capabilty / role overlaps with others.

If the helicopters are for interior ministry then these are not going to be apache.

Perhaps Mr. Rehman Malik got them for his joy rides

America is not going to give us Apache, Mr. Rehman Malik rides on horse and dream for helicopters. But the possibility for spares for present Cobra helicopters or old/used Cobra helicopters as gift from america is possible.

Cobra's are suited for Pakistan we need juiced up Cobras for PA..Pakistan Army needs AH-1 SuperCobras..

Yeah I hear the Super Cobras pack more venom...;)

Just want we need in our aviation arsenal.

no no we dont need Apache because if will we get Apache thn after next few years we trape because of US (parts issue)

1, Expensive
2, Delay
3, Our pilots already pro on Cobra Gunships

I was joking about that .. We will NEVER get apaches from the united states of america.. did you know they try to do a head count on their gifted NV equipment through different channels .. Apaches!! haha .. they will have a field day with that one..

Apaches are a maintenance headache due to all the computer systems and gucci technology they use.

In fact for COIN operations the Israelis prefer to use older AH64A helos without longbow radars etc.

we need apaches

no way sir!! :disagree:

now we must take american equipment only and only if it is being given for free or on less prices! no point in spending millions with such an unreliable party :flame:

if we opt for US the only option is cobras, they will be cheap, we can get them as a package for war on terror! can upgrade them by foreign assistance if in quite few numbers. we are already operating about 40 cobras and is some how we get hands on to 20 - 30 more birds it will be effective to upgrade them by spending some money on them by turkish or chines assistance!
if cobras are not there, other option is T129 and never the apaches!

what do you think sir!

regards

the turkish helis look menacing..

Just heard on a news channel(dunya), which quoted american ambassador as saying that USA has handed over night vision equipped cobras and bell 412 helis to pakistan. It further quoted the ambassador that pakistan needed them in theor fight against extremests.

That clears all, they were cobras. PPP sources probably took them for apaches:)

Good news.
