এ ব্যাপারে ঠিকাদারি প্রতিষ্ঠান মনিকো লিমিটেডের প্রকল্প ব্যবস্থাপক আব্দুল্লাহ হেল কাফী বলেন, ‘ভারতের ফুলবাড়ী ক্যাম্পের বিএসএফের সদস্যরা মহাসড়কটির বাংলাবান্ধা অংশের ১৫০ মিটার নির্মাণকাজে বাধা দিয়েছে। তবে এ বাধা উপেক্ষা করে কাজ করতে চাইলে বিএসএফ গুলি করার হুমকি দেয়। তাই বাধ্য হয়েই আমরা কাজ বন্ধ করে দিয়েছি।’ তিনি আরও বলেন, বিষয়টি বিজিবিকে জানানো হয়েছে। দ্রুত সিদ্ধান্ত না দিলে কাজ শেষ না করেই চলে যেতে হবে।
বাংলাবান্ধা স্থলবন্দরের সিঅ্যান্ডএফ অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি মো. রেজাউল করিম জানান, বাংলাবান্ধা স্থলবন্দর-সংলগ্ন মহাসড়কের ১৫০ মিটার কাজ না হলে ট্রাকের যাতায়াত ব্যাহত হওয়াসহ আমদানি-রপ্তানির কার্যক্রম ব্যাহত হবে। বিএসএফ শূন্য রেখা পর্যন্ত সড়কের উন্নয়ন করেছে। অথচ বাংলাদেশকে সড়ক নির্মাণে বাধা দিচ্ছে।
বিজিবি ১৮ ব্যাটালিয়নের অধিনায়ক লে. কর্নেল জাকির হোসেন ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, বিজিবির পক্ষ থেকে বিএসএফকে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে চিঠি দেওয়া হয়েছে। তবে বিএসএফ জানিয়েছে, ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্তৃপক্ষের অনুমতি পেলে নির্মাণকাজে বাধা দেওয়া হবে না।

The thing which really matters here is stable economy and good business environment. Pakistan is lagging in both and it will make the difference. Other thing is that bangaladesh is utilizing it's human resouces both male and female for the economical activity which is not happening in Pakistan. Education is the other thing where Pakistan is lagging Bangladesh. Since 2008 Bangladesh is achieving higher GDP growth then Pakistan which will not reverse any time soon. So the advantage that pak has wil fed away over the years.

Regarding natural resouces Bangladesh has much better potential then pak at least in terms of oil and gas. But apart from all these hope pakistan will be able to keep pace with both India and Bangladesh in terms of development.

Since you are basing your silly argument on some predictions, here's another prediction for you: how are you so sure your country won't be half way under water by 2050 (according to many predictions by notable sources)? On top of that you have a rapidly growing population, your country will become cramped.

Secondly, just to wake you up from your silly dreams, predictions will remain predictions, 5-6 years ago Pakistan's economy was the fastest growing in Asia and was stated to remain so for a while but who would have thought today Pakistan's economic growth would have slowed down? And how are you so sure we won't be back on track within next five years?

Last i checked Pakistan's economy was still making progress despite WoT and energy shortage. With a change of leadership and reduction of corruption these temporary shortcomings will be easily turned around and we'll be on full throttle once again.
