Fact of the matter is you played into hindu hands and chose ethinicity over religion........my Bengali brother.

^^US has a black president, that does not mean racism does not exist in the USA. The fact of the matter was we were highly under represented in the military and the government. The budget was not fairly distributed and all the bigger institutions were in west Pakistan. Fact of the matter is these discriminations is what lead to the Bangladeshi nationalism.

Bringing a Bangali for the language movement is comical at its best. It was all started by your beloved Jinnah who came to East Pakistan and said "east pakistan's language should be Urdu", that short sited man, he is the one who planted the seeds of Bangladeshi nationalism. Man was the biggest short sited man in the history of subcontinent and royally screwed the muslims....gandhi offered him the prime minister and a cabinet of his choice, which he declined. If that man took the offer, today the Muslims would be controlling the subcontinent with a 40% population.

I see BD Jamati Razakar vs Pakistanis.

Nice healthy debate.

One can say Hindus played Jinnah and the muslims by sending them into 2 corners of India and naming those 2 corners as respective Pakistans. Muslims would have ruled the subcontinent by 2025 and by current state they would have a 40% population. Muslim brotherhood was dead as soon as that Jinnah went for partition and declined the offer for the role of PM.

.
But do you think without an apology from Pakistan this relation will move much forward?

we dont want any relation, please forgive our foreign minister visit, you know our govt is corrupt american puppet

Nuclear fallour is bollox, in the 60s when they were doing the tests, soldiers would just go to the next island and watch the nuclear blast; they are still alive and kicking.

That's not what happened after hiroshima and nagasaki, or better yet chernobyl.

Jinnah & Muslim league along with Gandhi had accepted the cabinet mission plan of 1946 it was Nehru & sarder Patel who rejected it which led to the partition

Congress never desired in favor of partition at any cost. Making of Pakistan while Gandhi was leading the Congress was impossible. Gandhi was a secular person and he left no ground for Muslim League and Quaid e Azam for a separate home land of Muslims. Very brilliant and bright leaders of muslims like Abul Kalam Azad were inspired by him due to his preaching of Indian Nationalism above the ethnicity and religion. He used to say that muslims are not a separate nation but they are just converts. That's why Quaid left India for settlement in England when he saw that muslims of India are not recognizing their ultimate destination and looking towards Congress.

When Iqbal continuously wrote Quaid to return India to lead the muslims and after some change of thought in his mind due to some spiritual happening he came back to India and fully devoted himself to the cause of Muslims' homeland Pakistan. Quaid never wanted to remain within united India. When Iqbal had given Allah Abad address in 1930 and Ch Rehmat Ali have given the name of Pakistan and published the pamphlet "Now or Never" Quaid was convinced and he had envisioned the future of muslims in shape of Pakistan.
Acceptance of Cabinet Mission by Quaid was his political vision and a way to tackle the Gandhi effect on muslims and on politics of India. Quaid left no moral ground for Gandhi to oppose the creation of Pakistan. At the end when Gandhi-Jinnah talk was held, Gandhi offered Jinnah that you quit the idea of Pakistan and i'll make you 1st Prime Minister of India and you will form cabinet of your desired ministers. Jinnah refused and reminded him all these events from Khilafat Movement, Nehru Report, Congress Ministries and Cabinet Mission etc. and said that how can he ignore all these things while making a big decision regarding the future of nation. Due to Quaid's vision Gandhi left empty handed and he could not level any allegation on Quaid or Muslim League

aazidane, you are going off topic. Jinnah represented the Muslim leadership of Western provinces and East Bengal. East Bengal Muslim leadership wanted Pakistan as much as Western provinces leadership, Jinnah was the visible figurehead who decided to take up the cause. Jinnah was in Congress for 2 decades working with Gandhi trying to achieve Hindu Muslim unity. Only after the intransigence of Hindu leadership, he got tired and left for London. Later he came back to take up Muslim League leadership.

Muslims were 25% of British India population, they could not foresee that they would have 40% or even become majority if they waited long enough. So we cannot blame these people for thinking and taking decisions the way they did. They had a reality which is hard for us to imagine.

Jinnah also started to recruit Bengali's in Pakistan Army, I think if he was alive for another 10-15 years, Pakistan would not break.

About Urdu, Western wing accepted this language which is not their mother tongue, why we could not? What is so special about Bengali? Now West Bengali's are fluent in Hindi, which is very similar to Urdu, so they can assimilate better with other parts of India.

Fact is we, East Bengal Muslims, separated from British India using two nation theory and then we took up Bengali nationalism to separate from Western wing. We should never have adopted Bengali nationalism, that was a betrayal to the original cause of partition, the two nation theory. India engineered this betrayal using its agent.

I personally believe that partition was a mistake and breaking of Pakistan in 1971 was inevitable, due to distance and the great Hindutva master strategists sitting in the middle, creating RAWamy traitor agents to push their agenda. But why bring all this up.

We have to analyze history to understand the geopolitical mistakes we made, so we can avoid similar mistakes in the future. But this is not the thread to discuss this. Please create another thread or choose one of the existing threads on these issues to discuss this.

Reread the post of your compatriot to whom Imran is replying to. It was your compatriot who stated that he wants both india and Pakistan to obliterate each other for the benefit of bangladesh, talk about psychotic thoughts of mass murder.

Imran only replied to him that if such a thing were to take place bangladesh would also face the fallout.

I misunderstood Imran's post, later I understood it and already mentioned it in a later post. Anyway, let me delete that part of the post.

If you ever visit Quebec, you will know how 2 different languages can coexist so beautifully. Bangla language is beautiful and wouldn't trade it with anything else. Why didn't West Pakistan chance her language to bangla?

It would automatically happen, if Pakistan was not broken, as Bengali was accepted as one of the two official languages, after the language movement. Necessity dictates everything.

Jinnah's speech in east Pakistan is what sowed the seeds of Bangladeshi nationalism when he said that the language of east pakistan should be urdu. You can argue all you want but this is the fact.

Jinnah did not know Bengali sentiment well, I am guessing, and Indian funded RAWamy traitors took every opportunity to exploit all the mistakes by Pakistan leaders. Its easy to blame others, I always like to find fault on my own side first, because we can change ourselves, but we cannot change others.

By the way, I do not blame Indians either, it was their job to screw us, they did it well and it is us and our traitors to blame who allowed this to happen. And the situation continues till today.

True......whatever you say a mistake of this magnitude by a politician has dire consequences in this case it did. A politician must understand his people.
