So while you are doing your daily chores and living your routine life, somewhere in Pakistan there is somebody in a team who is actively detecting identification of potential enemy electromagnetic emissions by using different electromagnetic warfare support measures in peace time. This involves assessing the electromagnetic environment (EME) to include radar and radio frequencies; electro-optics as well as lasers; and the IR spectrums using active and passive measures with related equipment.any other comparable systems in the world. How would it identiffy friendly frequencies compared to enemy frequencies to jam?
Any takers ?
Your first-step in EW is complete because effective mapping of the EME (of enemy and own) is essential to develop an accurate Electromagnetic order of battle (EOB). Now lets say war has started so second-step is preventing the enemy from using EM systems (e.g., communications equipment, radar, data links, guidance systems etc) by affecting a particular portion of the Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) in a specific geographical area for a specific period. The Electronic-warfare teams know frequencies of own assets as well as frequencies of enemy assets so interference can be avoided
Marketing departments always list max ranges, these can vary under different EW conditions as well as geographic area where the system is operational.Yes and the surveillance range is around 600Km while the jamming range is about 300Km.
