Mirages being turned into ew ac

Every one seems to be missing the big elephant in the room n ie maybe with our current eco. Situation its been decided to limit the no of j 10....hence PAF is let with no option but to soldier on with the mirages

Even if that is not the case PAF operates in access of 200 mirages n i am sure alot of these ac have a lit of life left in them, so PAF is putting them to use.

Mirages PAF have, don't have much life left, and they fulfill some special roles for which PAF needs them for some more time so it's better that they would be remain available for those roles.

BizJet suited best for this scenario and their use as EW platform is much better than these mirages.

What about drones for EW roles? I have heard somewhere Chinese are working on it. I am not sure about power requirements and other things as I don't have enough technical knowledge but people here can inform better about this.

no, not VS anything, just full stop, it's not enough, 90 mins is a very short time, I cant talk comparatively, but large, draggy pods will certainly decrease that further, it's just not the ideal platform or one even remotely suited for it. Id argue that the standoff jammers based off of bizjets are probably a better solution. Remember, the USN uses fighter based OECM because they need to be able to launch from carriers, we dont.
Question here was M-III being converted into escort Jammers, in that case JF-17s out classes it by miles. Yes, indeed E-1000 type jet would be perfect for PAF, heck imagine E-1000 type Jammer both in PAF and PN use ( wishful thinking though as PAF would never touch E-1000 as it has been selected by PN. )

Daniel is not active here anymore else he could likely better explain as to why M-III in its original format is ill suited for Electronic Warfare.

PS: Beggars can't be choosers and if wishes do come true then beggars be driving Luxury Cars and PAF would be loaded with latest F-16s.
