what is NOC for engines ?
No objection certificate. The T-129's engines are US made.

You mentioned about sucker India, so what about Indians giving all the access to Apache AH-64s, P8 Poisdon, C-130J and other US equipment to Russians, and Iranians. I also sure Russians are having a field day peeking inside Indian bought US equipment in it?
The Venom's are a bada$$ piece of kit! Who'd have thought the humble and baby-faced Huey could look so mean?I like it, but i'm particular fond of the UH-1Y Venom that is being produce along side the Viper.
I would love to be a door gunner on it
Ah, I see- ask for the house but you only really want the blinds- sneaky sneaky
I still think the US is likely to be wary of handing over such critical tech (engines are perhaps on of the most advanced and complex parts on an aircraft) to anyone but let's see how this goes.

With a republican congress and senate, no arms procurement for Pakistan is going to be straightforward. They may reject the AH-1Z again but we can secure the sale of engines.
That last part is certainly true but it seems the Western companies are more than happy with India's record on such matters:Only threat that US's intellectual property has from India is that we would use info gained from them in our local weapon development program.
Turkey would be in a better position to lobby for Engine than you.

India has strong legal framework to protect intellectual property rights: Boeing - The Times of India
Hence why they are willing to offer cutting edge tech to India (AESA radars, P-8Is, AH-64E etc).
Fair enough, it must be a nightmare to be in charge of Pakistan's military procurements- so many moving parts, so many conditions, so many ifs and buts! Nothing seems straightforward. If they reject the engines then they will not only piss off Pakistan (buyer) but also Turkey (seller). I don't know they would risk a rift with two of us for a handful of engines. Again if they refuse both engines and Ah-1Z then we are already discussing Mi-28NE with Russia and Z-10 with China. We need new copters to replace our Cobras, no matter where we get them from.

Produce more JF-17 and invest in improving the plane. Instead of buying more US stuff.
Via Pak Def. Pakistan wants eight F-16 Block-52+ aircrafts, 3 OHP frigates and requested the sale of AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters to replace the AH-1F/S Cobras. I was told the same thing by a PAF source a few months ago. Is it likely that Pakistan will exercise the option for the total 18 extra F-16s or buy more surplus ones from the US ?
surplus is okay....we shouldnt get more block 52s...not right now, maybe later. Is the MLU process for older F16s even complete yet or near completion? i havent been really following that much lately
MLU for all 41 F16 is complete, last ones were received in a ceremony with TAI.

Why we shouldn't go for block 52 now and then later opt for? what difference will it make now or later?
The last upgraded F-16 MLU has been delivered by turkey.surplus is okay....we shouldnt get more block 52s...not right now, maybe later. Is the MLU process for older F16s even complete yet or near completion? i havent been really following that much lately
