PAF J-10C News, Updates and Discussion

No j10c price is not equal to JF17 block 3 , JF17 block 3 price is 35-40 million per jet, whereas j10c price is around 60-75 million per jet according to various sources

And that’s factoring in the discount for Pakistan. There was a similar discount for Type 054P. Pakistan’s price is not too different from PLA’s acquisition cost.

And for all those reasons it’s a fraction of the cost of all recent 4.5 Gen deals. All the others are coming out be be hundreds of millions a pop. For instance the rafale deal india made.

P.S.: we don’t know the airframe life of the latest Chinese jets, J10C included, but with all the advances it surely must be on par or almost on par with the competition.
We aren't talking about f7
Chinese jets have become pretty reliable

Incremental followup costs may be lower

Perhaps.
But it's also possible that these holes are located slightly inwards (as on jf-17), but in J-10C are not readily visible due to the intake being below them (rather than on the side) and hence covering them...?
@Deino
nope, the J-10 relies on close coupled canard to improve air flow over the wings. While the JF-17 uses LERX, leading edge root extensions to delay wing stall. The perforations you see on JF-17 act as boundary layer suction devices stabilizing airflow over the LERX to the wing. So in short, the J-10's don't need them 'holes' the JF-17 does.

If J10C cost is less or even equal to JFT17 blk 3 then we will only limited induction of blk 3 and funds will move to further j10c in future
The BLK3 is more than just a jet for Pakistan. It is a very promising product for the Pakistani aviation industry.

I think the BLK3 is the perfect replacement for a lot of mig-21s, as well as French and American jets of the same type.

This is a market of over 1,000 jets.
