10-12 years is too early because it will take 10-12 years for china to induct this plane so add five more years for Pakistan and this jet will be costly may be more than 75million$ because the J10 costing you 45million $

1.4B US$ deal done for 36 FC-20s, making approx 39MillionUS$ per aircraft, not 45M.

And in such deals, spares, training, weapon systems are mostly included.

And if that is so, then the unit cost is further reduced.

Don;t come up with another master piece yet again.

I am sure that the life cycle cost is less than that of LCAs, because that PLAAF have bought about 250 units of J-10A(B) accumulating a lot of experiences in maintaining Vigorous Dragon.while it is just reported that the first batch 20 units LCAs will not be deployed until 2020.

Errrrrr? I got a doubt.... 300Jf-17's by 2020? so U go at the rate of 30 Jf-17's a year? 500million $ every year in the purchase of Jf-17's Instead of J-10? And That too when its 4th gen aircraft.?

You never know it might already have flown over india , but you can't see it cuz its stealth -

Its common knowledge when the general public starts posting videos of designs and the design similarities become very similar in different posts - it normally means that the actual demo is 1.5-2.5 years away, the prototypes are probbly already flying over secret locations in china - no wonder ppl are talking about it

China already have 200-300 + J10 in its airforce and going up every month , and its a tested platform over 10 years in flights and testing now they are making the 5th generation plane ....

Chinese people are amazing they are always also getting hightest marks in schools never seen ppl getting 100/100 in tough engineering courses only chinese

300 JF17 Thunders between 2015? So You purchase and Make 60 Jf-17 Thunders Annually? That is You spend 1b$ every Year for Jf-17 Thunder? How many Aircrafts can PAC manufacture a year and How much can China manufacture? You must be crazy.... You might get 300 Jf-17's but not withing 2015, It will take 2022-23 Atleast....

well I think beyond 250 PAF would look for a new generation AC. Anyways yes PAC will gradually move to a 30 AC/Year production target. I think we might see more FC-20s or a new platform after 250 thunders

I dont think PAC has the Infrastructure to Build more than 10 Aircrafts a year.... May I know where and How Many Plants PAC has? I might be wrong aswell...

possibly yes, there was contract signed for delivery of 150 planes.
But no time frame has been announced as of yet

China has never expressed interest in Sharing the J-11, Its also a License Built Russian Su-27. It would create problems if China decides to export J-11.

But my earlier statement was more referring to you statement that

Sorry mate that aint happening until early next decade.

And if Pakistan was really serious about acquirement of the J-XX, they would not get the J-11.

I was just saying that 300 Jf-17 withing 2015 is just speculation, Ie You must go 60 aircrafts a year.... Do u really think thats possible for pakistan? And that too 1B$ annually for JF-17 thunder alone.

The Associated Press of Pakistan reports that a contract for 42 co-produced JF-17s has been signed in Islamabad by China’s CATIC and the Pakistani Air Force, financed by “seller’s credit.” Production capacity is listed at 15 aircraft in the first year, rising to 30 aircraft per year thereafter.

Going by Max capacity from yr one....30 Plans an year X 10 Yrs = 300 JF 17......

This means its going to take 10 Yrs to manufacture 300 JF 17...Unless they increase capacity to may be 50-60 an year...sounds speculative and fan-boyish...
