Option's for PAF ?

LOL - This is not a game.

The defence chiefs have nothing to gain from this statement. UK is not going to place many more fighters for the Falklands as it cannot afford to. They are simply saying in their opinion that the Eurofighter is not that qualitatively superior that the few aircraft that the UK could place in those Islands could stop J-10Bs from gaining air-superiority.
Lol, "nothing to gain"? Hmmm perhaps the UK government not cutting the EFT force down, mothballing the RN's QE class carriers and cutting the army down to 60,000 in the next SDSR (something from all three forces but there is a LOT on the line pending that SDSR)?

.
I'll quote you when the second deal for 108 Rafales built in India is signed.

It's quite clear to anyone with a rational outlook that the sign gin of this 36 off the shelf Rafales was the first step in signing the second, larger, deal.

Lol he don't get it . Our IN alone need 40 rafale for its INS Vishal, Our Nuclear Task Force already agreed to buy 40-50 Rafale for nuke delivery and that's why we opted for 124+ 64 MMRCA deal .

Serious fire power even better than French airforce

(Lol,if there's a person to derail a thread... it is @Armstrong !)
My opinion about soccer didn't change since the last time,i don't watch soccer,it isn't interesting to see men who earn millions of €/year running behind a ball and crying because they fell in the ground (lol),do not have the time to... and don't want to watch those who say that France is a shitty country #Zlatan. :D

Oh come on its already a derailed thread !

Like I said before what would they have to gain by saying this?

J-10B has not even be brought by Argentina. If Argentina brought the jet in numbers like say 48+, do you think the UK could afford to place more than 12 Eurofighters on Falklands bearing in mind that there just over 100 in total in RAF.

UK defence spending will stabilise around 2% of GDP as the UK simply cannot afford to spend more. Only a threat to the UK mainland would necessitate spending any more.

Like some Chinese experts, they consider the J-10B and Eurofighter as comparable in performance. You can believe what you wish.
You really don't understand how these things work do you? If you have been paying attention the UK military chiefs (both serving and retired) have been making a lot of fuss about the UK's ever falling conventional military strength and have been saying whatever they think will make the politicians and public stop slashing their budgets.

a) Rafale-M is not guaranteed for the INS Vishal, I still think the EMALS will come with some US fighter, probably the F-35C, thrown in
b) to maintain an air wing of 40 carrier fighters you would need to order about 50-55 aircraft to take into account land based training activities and war reserves.

.
Some other realistic options for Pakistan:

62 MK2-9 (UAE),
plus 12 MK2-9 (Qatar),
plus 18 used F-16C/D,
plus 18 f-16 block 52+,
plus used 18 F-15 (KSA)
= 128,
Plus 58 J-10B/C
= 186

And 8 to 12 batteries of HQ9 with ToT...

OK. You are entitled to your opinion.

Anyway this does not mean that they genuinely don't believe that J-10B is comparable to Eurofighter.

F35 lightening 2 or C ... And do you think we will go for F35 ? But we have Rafale supply line why can't we use it . Rafale at sea will be very versatile platform . Ton time better than F18 or Mig 29

You take F16 and leave mirage 2K alone to us .

It won't cost more than $3 billion for the airplanes, and another $3 to $4 billion for the HQ-9. Spread on 5 to 7 years, that is merely $1.2 billion/ year. It is quite affordable for such a huge deal which matches the $20+ billion deal of India for128 Rafales, minus $13 billion. plus 8 batteries of HQ-9.
India is paying more than that for... 36 Rafales.

You take F16 and leave mirage 2K alone to us .
If you can give 74 F-16 block 52 for the same price it can be a deal.

Look at our PM during Boat Pe Charcha :p:

Well, technically there has been no deal signed yet on those 36 Rafale fighters yet. As the Indian PM said technical negotiations are to follow. They will be short negotiations and French will squeez India to the max given the Indian desperation. Transfer of technology for 108? To a degree yes. Enabling India to build it's next plane? Naaaah! They wont kill the chicken for all the golden eggs. You are market and they will exploit. One golden egg at a time. Keep laying.

Best option for PAF is not to have a war with IAF ever.

In terms of air battle, PAF will never match IAF no matter what plane they get.

In terms of defensive capabilities, its better for PAF to be realistic then dreamy. Investing in SAMs is the only and the most realistic option left for PAF.

IAF is equipped/preparing to defeat PLAAF or other big threats.
Not plane to plane, but a 60-70% will have great value. Besides PAF has much better pilots so I think it will be a very fair fight.
