There is always the case for not implementing sweeping changes.

The present Constitution is a mutation that contradicts itself.

System change is inevitable. It will be more painful the longer they delay it.

It's not unconstitutional for the PM to start debate on a new constitution. IK needs to build the case whilst he has the seat and speaker.

The kind of illnesses being described aren’t just faked. And if they were, he wouldn’t be hospitalised and other news were getting. Authorities have repeatedly blocked his colleagues and family members access. If he is in hospital, the same authorities would have deemed it very necessary.

Frankly, people were rather shamelessly saying the same thing when Kulsoom Nawaz was in poor health. ‘Fake, excuses, drama’ etc, and then she shortly passed away due to illness thereafter and the shameless bs subsided.

And if his objective was to simply escape, which I can say quite surely it probably isn’t his objective. Why did he even come back to be put on trail, jailed etc. He was in London and made a decision to return.

The only plausible argument left for you to make now is to say that perhaps he didn’t anticipate such harsh treatment and now feels like escaping. That is pure conjecture, but to this I have to say that he is an old man, and a former head of state. If the conditions he has been kept in are as bad as the stories say, then it’s a shameful way to treat a former PM.

It is easy to just say our politicians have ruined Pakistan. The truth is what our religion and our scholars have told us. Ibn Al Qayim wrote:

If there appears plotting and deception among the people, their rulers will behave likewise. If the people take from those considered weak what they do not deserve to take, then the kings will take from them what they do not deserve and inflict them with taxes. Everything that the people take away from the weak, the kings will take away from them by force.

Thus, the actions of the people become manifest in the actions of the rulers. It is not from the divine wisdom that wrongdoers and sinners are made to be ruled by anyone except those like them.
