then IAF wanted LCA to be a stealth fighter , then IAF wanted LCA to beat f22 then IAF wanted LCA to become twin engine aircraft ,, then IAF wanted LCA to have more better radar then IAF wanted 6th n 7th generation components for LCA and then finally in 2030 LCA became operational

For that we have another Research Going on in The name of AMCA, LCA is Still a 4th gen aircraft , and IAF has Given a Green Signal to it by ordering 40 of these before the IOC and Will be Ordering another 220 As per the Requirements of the IAF after the IOC this December ....

PAF reaches the size of IAF's present size in 2015 and IAF will keep sitting blindly,our air force is the 4th largest in the world,how on earth can Pakistan match us?

Between 2015-2018 IAF and Russian Air Force will be the only 2 Air forces having the most advanced fighter jet in the world(5th gen PAK FA),the project is being funded by India and being developed by Russia,so its a joint Indo-Russian venture.

Pakistan and China are in no hope of having a 5th gen fighter in the near future,Chinese 5th gen is only on paper..so keep day dreaming!

India has already confirmed 250 PAK FA(5th gen) in the period of 2015-2018,PAK FA are expected to be better than the worlds present best 5th gen like F-22 raptor etc..

Frankly all this thread has been is just a truck load of Flame

China has started development OF 5th gen aircraft and they will introduce it about not much time after IAF inducts PAKFA , say around 2025 , thats coz even though chinese are behind the russians in Aeronautics , they are not so far behind .
Secondly Neither the PAKFA nor the JXX will be able to match the F22 for atleast the next 20 yrs
Many reports have actually questioned the RCS of Pakfa , saying that it is stealthy but not as stealthy as Raptor or F35
It is estimated that PAKFA s RCS is 1/5 th that of Typhoon , which is considered to be stealthiest among 4th gen fighters

Thanks but no thanks for the compliment. Mate to know the dukh bhari dastaan of Tejas one doesnt have to be an expert. Its written all over the wall. You just need to look at the right place.


LCA has series of flaws and haven’t achieved most of the parameters that it promised. Where shall we start from

Just take speed for example. While it was designed to Mach 2 plus, it hasn’t crossed Mach 1.1 yet. What’s the reason? Weak airframe or under powered engine ? Come on guys, its been 30 years almost and the aircraft hasn’t even gone near the speed that it advertised. Tejas is too slow to survive in the real world.

Then there were engine issues with kaveri. Do we really have to go thru this ? I am sure anyone with little know how will know that how bad the Kaveri sucked ( no pun intended!! ) . So you guys to switch GE 404. But it way under powered for what you want out of Tejas. So which engine are you guys finally going for ? Kaveri or 404 ?

Basically no one at DRDO is sure which engine to go for and I guess that selection of engine effect 20 other parameters like , of course speed, G-load, wing loading, manoeuvrability, external load carrying capability and etc etc etc. So therefore Teajas has issues that makes it obsolete in front of the fighter aircrafts of its generation.

Once the engine is sorted, lot of Tejas problems will be sorted, but at the moment it fails to delivers what it promised.
