Narrowing PAF Gap V IAF by 2015

Thanks but no thanks for the compliment. Mate to know the dukh bhari dastaan of Tejas one doesnt have to be an expert. Its written all over the wall. You just need to look at the right place.

Well, Fortunately I Dont Belong to Your Country to See The Aircraft Upside down Inorder to Look into the right place....

LCA has series of flaws and haven’t achieved most of the parameters that it promised. Where shall we start from

What did it Promise????:undecided:

Just take speed for example. While it was designed to Mach 2 plus, it hasn’t crossed Mach 1.1 yet. What’s the reason? Weak airframe or under powered engine ? Come on guys, its been 30 years almost and the aircraft hasn’t even gone near the speed that it advertised. Tejas is too slow to survive in the real world.

Tejas was Advertised to be 1.6 and 1.8, and it meets the Speed perfectly, and it did meet those speeds In High altitude testing and When It came to Sea Level trials It recorded a cruising speed of 1350Km/hour when compared to Cruising Speed of JF-17 which is 1200 km/h In Sea level

Then there were engine issues with kaveri. Do we really have to go thru this ? I am sure anyone with little know how will know that how bad the Kaveri sucked ( no pun intended!! ) . So you guys to switch GE 404. But it way under powered for what you want out of Tejas. So which engine are you guys finally going for ? Kaveri or 404 ?

Certainly, Certainly Bring this Issue, Kaveri As You Know Gives the Same Thrust as the Engine which Powers JF-17 Thunder gives, But IAF wants a Better Engine, there Is Nothing wrong with the Engine, But it Does not meet the standards of IAF which Compromises for nothing less than 90KN thrust

Basically no one at DRDO is sure which engine to go for and I guess that selection of engine effect 20 other parameters like , of course speed, G-load, wing loading, manoeuvrability, external load carrying capability and etc etc etc. So therefore Teajas has issues that makes it obsolete in front of the fighter aircrafts of its generation.

Actually DRDO Does not need to wonder which Engine goes Into It, Its MOD which has Selected GE to power the Tejas, Hope You have heard the News About Indian Single Crystal Blade For Kaveri Which Is ready to Be Put to Test In October trials,... But pakistan on the other hand hasnt even reached a state of manufacturing bike Engines,Leave alone for aircraft ( no pun intended!! )

Once the engine is sorted, lot of Tejas problems will be sorted, but at the moment it fails to delivers what it promised. :hitwall:

Engine has Never Been the Problem ,and LCA LSP 4 is The Final Design which Is Going to be Inducted and Has Undergone 14 flight tests Till August 26th

Not a possibility in the near future if you plan to consider the current situations. Does Pakistani air force intend to increase squad strength?

You got that right, Swiss man. The present doctrine of PAF seems to be more about replacing existing old numbers with swankier new jets and latest tech.

To increase squadron numbers, they'd have to think of doubling the JF-17 intended numbers in production.

That's why it has not been inducted so far, because we are sorting out the problems and making it up to best standards. Unlike jf17 which CAN also fly.

here it goes again JF 17 vs LCA,

Plz stick to the topic and end this Vs debate. LCA is super dooper jet, JF 17 is an ugly bat. Now be happy and stick to the topic.
thanks.

Yup it can fly also and can make our neighbors frustrated also and can be sell to others nations also.

It is better to have something than doing repairs in the garage.

no dear, jf17 is not an ugly bat.Bats have superb manouverability and have an excellent radar too which help them establish "air superiority" over insects.:partay:

Guys, lets not discuss again LCA and JF-17 in each thread. Both Indian and Pakistani guys will not accept the real problems and current state of these 2 jets. This debate can go on for years.

Lets stick to topic, LCA and Jf-17 are not the only jets, there are many more on both the sides.

It can fly????..................GR8. Its greatest achievement.:taz:

India is frustrated becoz of JF-17 Thunder????:rofl: We are more than happy. You can carry on adding them to your inventory. I know you don't need our permission, but we have no objection too.

Who other's' nation's' are buying this bird??? Even China is not interested in buying this CHEAP plane.

It is better to have something than doing repairs in the garage.

"It is better to have something"..............Yup; I agree with that. When you can't buy anything expensive and nobody is interested in selling you anything, "it is better to have something."

India Air Force don't need something. We have everything and the thing we don't have, we can easily get. We can buy "anything" from anywhere. Just look at MMRCA deal...........we are making fool of the world since 2004. And they are still begging us to buy their fighters.

So we can continue on investing and modifying our LCA for another 20-30 years, as suggested in the above posts. There is no hurry from IAF's strenght perspective.

:smokin:

Well one Bharati was saying this so just repeated his BS.

India is frustrated becoz of JF-17 Thunder????:rofl:

Aren't these  in your post don't give us a hint of your frustration. Anyways posts by many Bharatis about JF-17 do tell who is frustrated?

Who other's' nation's' are buying this bird???

I think you never tried to read those sticky threads or else you won't be asking this. Read them and than troll.

Even China is not interested in buying this CHEAP plane.

Again . Frustration? Anyways this objection or in simple bull crap is also answered several times in those sticky threads. It is better if you read them for once before initiating your troll campaign.

I agree with that. When you can't buy anything expensive and nobody is interested in selling you anything, "it is better to have something."

And when you can't build something for decades it is better you buy them in expensive rates. That's the best solution when you failed to make something.

Just look at MMRCA deal...........we are making fool of the world since 2004. And they are still begging us to buy their fighters.

Yeah I don't who is making fool whom. Anyways we have been looking at this MMRCA deal for years. How many years more we have to look at it? :azn:

So we can continue on investing and modifying our LCA for another 20-30 years, as suggested in the above posts.

Ok. Good may be we can see them operational in year 2100. Nice.

Only for eyes of Pakistani members!

Swissman question is pertinent; Is PAF thinking of increasing its Sq strength an d numbers?

For a hypothetical situation in 2025; IAF with PAK FA( 60-80)+, MMRCA 126, SU 30MKI 300, LCA ~150, Mirage 2K5 60, MIG 108+, 6 AEW&Cs. without going into capability of these things. these will make 800+ ACs. what PAF will like to have by that time. Will PAF continue with 250 JFT, 60 FC 20, and 100+ F15, and 8 AEW&Cs? Gap will definitely increase by that time both technologically and number wise, in order for IAF to pose a serious threat to PAF, IAF will need some extra ACs to make ratio 3-1, or it will be happy with 2-1, on other hand PAF would like to keep 2 1 ratio, it necessitate a highly capable JFT to meet the threat of PAK FA and MMRCAs, assuming F 16 upgrade will ensure to neutralize the threat from SU 30MKI and MIG 29. ( meaning that JFT must have 5th Generation elements if not completely Stealth and supercruising, only it should having anti stealth 3D radars. with long range A 2 A missiles. Is it possible for PAF to achieve such goals by 2025?
